My experience at Subway SUCKS. The communication there is not good. Unacceptable. That's the reason why I don't want to eat there, because that place itself has a lack of communication. This applies to the rest of the branches in Singapore as well. Subway sucks.

Ordered Friday's Special - Teriyaki Chicken Sub (Comes with 16oz Drink) for $6.90. After checking their stock, the male boss informed me, 'Sorry, Teriyaki Chicken is out of stock. Would you like to change to Bulgogi Chicken instead? The Korean flavour is very nice too.' While preparing the sub halfway, I asked if this came with a drink and cookie. He replied, 'No, our Bulgogi Chicken is $7. This one needs an additional $3+ for a meal.' If not for his recommendation to replace the Teriyaki Chicken with Bulgogi Chicken as an apology for their Friday's Special being out of stock, I would have chosen a different sub. Now I paid $7 for just one sub, which wasn't my original selection. I could have gotten the Teriyaki Chicken Sub + 1 drink for only $6.90. Overall, a bad experience at this Subway outlet.

I am a fan of Subway as it is my comfort food; a sub sandwich and hot coffee are my regular order. On a particular day, I opted for a tuna salad instead of a sandwich. I have to say the salad was miserable, with very few vegetables and some items mixed out in my order. The crew gave me jalapeños and pickles, which I had opted out of, and the olives were missing. It was replaced later when I returned for clarification. $9.10 for such quality and quantity are lacking in my opinion. As for service, I didn't experience the friendliness as mentioned.

Opening hours stated as 8am. I arrived at 8:37am and your staff told me she was "not ready". I was rushing to get to work by 9am, and she only served me at 8:45am. I would have left if there had been other options, but Citygate obviously has limited choices. Please look into adjusting your opening hours if you cannot cater to them.

The food is sooooo good! Even nicer was the experience because of the staff's good service! Definitely will come again as I crave Subway!

I kept wondering why no rich Indonesians bothered to buy the franchise and open Subway outlets here in the country. Perhaps there are underlying problems, but I don't think it matters because Subway is halal certified. Anyway, it's the best sub sandwich outlet. I don't need to describe the menu since I believe everyone knows it. This one on Beach Street is good. The employees are friendly and helpful; they're so kind. The place is cozy, and you can work or study from here. Nice, comfy, and quiet.

The Subway restaurant at City Gate #01-33 is quite small. Even though dining in is allowed due to COVID-19 easing, the tables are less than 1 metre apart. There is only one staff member on duty, so customers need to wait in line, standing on floor markers and patiently waiting. The food hygiene is good, and the ingredients are fresh. However, certain sandwiches do run out if there are many customers. It would be best for the management of Subway at City Gate to get another unit at City Gate or within walking distance. At Kitchener Complex, Block 809, there is another Subway restaurant outlet. This outlet has more than one staff serving customers, offering fast and good service. The City Gate Subway at #01-33 feels more like a cafe setting. The service is slow, and customers must have patience to wait in queue.

It’s 2/8/2025. Each time I've visited this Subway outlet during the weekend, the service staff has always been great. Today was no exception. I initially wanted to eat in and was making the payment when I abruptly decided to take my sub away. The staff member quickly bagged the cookies and sub for me. He then informed me that the sub needed a sticker to seal the wrapping since I was taking it away. Those little details. ❤️ melts my heart.

The staff are friendly, and the place feels really comfortable and clean. The food tastes amazing, and I look forward to going there again. The place has a good atmosphere overall.
