Yesterday evening, I observed a food handler, a Chinese lady with short hair, refilling the waffle batter without wearing gloves. Additionally, the employee used a pair of scissors from a drawer to scrape the remaining batter from a strainer, which seemed to be an improper and unsanitary practice. Please look into this matter ASAP and take the necessary precautions to train your employees properly.

I would say I have been a customer with Swee Heng for a few years at their other different outlets, and this is the worst outlet I have ever been to. The bakery itself is excellent, but the service staff are totally unfriendly and cannot make it. The skinny, short old lady staff throws tantrums with her job, showing an unpleasant face, and the skinny young lady staff is just very busy with her phone. This is not the first time this has happened at this outlet; it happens almost all the time. I queued at the waffle counter for about 10 minutes or more for the waffle and wanted to buy some bread to go home, but the staff just treated us like we were transparent. The shop was not busy, and if you don't even want to serve customers, please don't work as service staff. Very, very poor service, and I am very upset with their service staff. Honestly, this deserves a 0-star rating and possibly a report to SFA. I bought a Roti Boy bun and a sausage bun from them this morning as I had an event nearby and was running late, so I didn't have time to go anywhere else for breakfast. I tried one bite of the Roti Boy and was disgusted because it was clearly a bit off. Something had gone wrong with the butter or margarine in the coffee layer on top. I couldn't take another bite and threw it away. I was understandably already suspicious about the sausage bun, but it smelled okay and I needed something to get rid of the horrible taste in my mouth from that one bite of Roti Boy. I also wouldn't have a chance to find other food until at least 1 pm. So, I ate the sausage bun, and it tasted pretty normal.
Fast forward 3 hours: as I'm walking to the MRT after my event, I'm feeling strangely unwell but not nauseated yet. I board the train. Seven stops later, I'm on the MRT platform, puking into a plastic bag that I thankfully had in my bag. I vomited the whole sausage bun and felt better after that. It is definitely the bread from this Swee Heng that made me throw up because I had zero other food or drink in the morning other than that and the normal drinking water from home.
Did Swee Heng leave the buns unrefrigerated/unchilled the entire night and then just happily sell them in the morning?
When I was buying the buns, I was in a long queue. I wonder how many other people got vomiting or diarrhea too.
Update: The bakery called me. According to them, their buns are made on the day itself. Maybe that's true, but it's strange that the Roti Boy tasted so bad if it was just made that morning. And according to them, no other customers have reported food poisoning from that day ♀️ But they have said that they will investigate and get back to me, so I will wait and see.

Please educate your staff on how to use cashless transactions. Their gadgets were down, and your staff refused to let me leave despite showing her that payment had been made. I wasted my time waiting for her to boot up the iPad several times! You can sell pricey bread but cannot upgrade your payment modes. Seriously! Baker Talent's breads are cheap and good.

A neighbourhood cake shop here for three decades. They offer reasonably priced bread and a delicious red velvet strawberry cheesecake. They also kindly provide candles, forks, and paper plates without being asked. Very good service.
