Yesterday, I bought the walnut UFO Buns at Bt Panjang Plaza. The walnuts were rancid (not fresh)! This is the second time I've bought them with the same problem...

I had a bad social behaviour experience at this branch. I had my breads ready to pay at the cashier. The Malay cashier said there was someone in front of me, but I saw nobody. I turned and saw another Malay lady customer obviously still doing her shopping of breads at the shelves. Upon hearing us, she came over, threw another bread onto the cashier, and walked away to do more shopping. I told the cashier that she ought to proceed with my payment, but the Malay cashier refused, insisting on serving the Malay customer who clearly wasn't ready to pay yet. The frustrating part was after I asked the cashier why everyone should wait for a customer who was obviously still shopping, the Malay cashier then said to let me pay first, shamefully supported by the not-yet-ready Malay customer. I do not jump queues. In essence, imagine if this bad social behaviour is tolerated, then anyone can throw an item at the cashier and claim their right as the first customer. How about others who are ready to pay? Swee Heng management should educate and counsel your staff. Date: 15 Nov 22, time: 11 am. Please check the CCTV to identify who the unreasonable ones were.

I usually get my sugar rush from the kaya cake. They have a good selection of bread and baked goods. However, the quality of the bread dough and the cooking can be inconsistent. There have been instances when the inside of the breads were still raw and lumpy. Generally, the service from the staff there is good.

Dad gave the cashier $10 but only received $3 change. When confronted, she claimed my dad gave her $5. My dad did not pursue the matter further. The cashier must have been confused.

Medium priced, but the bread has a tacky, gummy, and sticky mouthfeel due to insufficient baking temperature at the center of the buns.

Just bought a salty green bean bun and didn't realize I overpaid by 20 cents. The tall Malay cashier lady counted my coins and returned me the extra change. Wow, I'm impressed because usually, I'm the one returning money when a merchant gives me extra change.

We were shopping at Hillion Mall and Bukit Panjang Plaza for a birthday cake and decided to try Swee Heng Bakery's Blackforest Mousse instead of other brands we had previously purchased. The cake was attractively displayed and enticed us to buy it. Surprisingly, the taste is good, and it is smooth and creamy. The price is reasonable, and the staff was polite and helpful. It was a good purchase!

Went there last Thursday evening. We bought a lot of bread and cake for colleagues who are in camp. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They pushed forward the promo time slightly earlier so that we could enjoy good discounts. They were very flexible and kind. I saw one staff member's tag read “Ah Liang”... she was very approachable and friendly. Really good service. It was my first time knowing this place is halal certified. My Muslim colleagues enjoyed the bread and cake thoroughly.
