Ordered nasi goreng thai for $8.50. For that price, I thought it would at least come with an egg. It did not. I requested it to be spicy, and when it came, it didn’t have any chilies in it. I asked the waitress nicely, and she brought it back to the kitchen. She brought it back to me and said it was spicy. It tasted bland, so I requested a side of sambal. Lasagna was decent, but it only had one layer and a bit of cheese. Quite disappointing for $18. There was no toilet and nowhere to wash hands. The air conditioning was quite warm. What I can’t get over is how they can put a separate 8% service charge when I have to go to the counter and order my own food. That’s ridiculous, especially on top of the steep price. To charge separate GST and service charge and call yourself “exclusive”… what a joke. The only thing exclusive is the price tag.

Our group of 3 arrived at 9:30 PM for a late weekday night dinner. The eatery had many tables, and we were promptly seated. We ordered 1 kampong fried rice, 1 lamb skewers with butter rice, and 1 carbonara pasta to share for carbs. The fried rice was good, but the lamb skewers only had 6 measly small pieces and an entire plate of butter rice that did not taste fragrant enough. The pasta had a tad too heavy fresh cream taste and very little bacon in it. For main dishes, the sambal mixed grilled BBQ seafood was decent, but it would probably be a better idea to just order stingray, which was well-cooked and fresh, versus the mussels, lala clams, and prawns, which were more poorly executed and tasted too soft and tasteless. Chap chye (mixed veg) was very saucy and fragrant, as well as the satays which were good! Their handmade drinks like teh halia and teh terik were good too. The price point still had to add service and GST charges, which amounted to $134 for 3 of us, so we found it not really worth dining here given its average food execution. We probably can come and dine if in the area during early morning or late night when other eatery options are not available.

Awesome service, awesome location, and awesome ambience. But the most important thing is the AWESOME FOOD! They even accommodated my request for a dish that wasn't on the menu: Kway teow goreng putih. And it tasted really nice. My kids also enjoyed the chicken pide (Turkish pizza). Thank you, Mr. Ahmad, and the whole team at Syed Cafe Exclusive for making my family and I enjoy our dining experience.

Had a great dining experience at Syed Cafe! Mohamed Hanifa was our server and provided excellent service throughout. I came with my parents and in-laws, and everyone enjoyed the meal. Definitely try the kunafe. It’s not as sweet as others out there, with a mild, lemak taste that’s really pleasant. The truffle risotto was also a favourite of mine. The Arab dishes were flavourful and satisfying. Hanifa noticed we sang happy birthday for my mother-in-law and gave us a complimentary dessert as well. Overall, a lovely place with good food and warm service. Didn’t take many pictures though, sorry!

Their food prices are a little too expensive, in my opinion. The Chicken Tikka Masala is good, although it took about 20 minutes to be served (it arrived much later than the steak!). Paired with butter naan, it's great. Their sirloin steak, priced at $27, tastes good. The cut was quite big and thick. It's worth coming here once in a while. It's better to come with someone who has a Safra membership as they offer a discount for Safra members. The iced tea is good too. I spent a total of $25.50 for the masala, naan, and milk tea. Service charge and GST added 17%.

It's my first time here and I was REALLY impressed. I didn't expect the menu to be THAT extensive, but it was. There were plenty of options ranging from Western to Indian and even Thai. I have never seen that many menu items compiled into one book. The food I ordered was also more visually appealing than I expected. The black pepper chicken with the fried rice was scrumptious. The sauce was just sweet enough for me to enjoy, and I really like how windy the place is with the giant ceiling fan. I would definitely return any time!

I recently dined at Shellout and was thoroughly impressed by the seafood offerings. The shrimp boil was a standout, perfectly seasoned with a delightful blend of spices that enhanced the fresh shrimp's flavor. The accompanying sides of corn and potatoes were cooked well, adding a nice touch to the meal. The vibrant atmosphere made for a fun dining experience, and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic meal that I would recommend to all seafood lovers! Shout out to Farid, who was patient and overall professional.
