Tried their Mutton Hyderabadi Biryani, Nasi Goreng Mutton, and Puri with Chenna Masala today.
The Biryani set came with fluffy basmati rice layered with tender and succulent pieces of meat, accompanied by a refreshing onion raita.
The Nasi Goreng was averagely good, with plenty of minced mutton.
The Puri was huge but not as puffy and soft as I expected. The Chenna Masala portion was proportionate to the two pieces of Puri.
We paid almost $50 in total for 2 biryani sets, nasi goreng, 1 puri set, 2 mineral waters, 1 mango lassi, 1 coffee, and 1 watermelon juice.
Minus point: The drink station took too long to serve our drinks. Our drinks were served when we had almost completed our meal.
Expect longer waiting times to dine in during lunch breaks.

I ordered the Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani via Grab, but what I received was disappointing. It wasn’t even a proper biryani — just some biryani rice served separately with a mutton curry and a piece of mutton. The mutton lacked flavor, and the rice wasn’t aromatic or well-cooked either. Overall, the biryani itself wasn’t good in taste or quality.
This is just the typical rice-and-curry combination commonly sold in Singapore, not the authentic Hyderabadi biryani they advertised. Instead of spending effort on misleading Instagram and social media promotions, the restaurant should focus on proper cooking and delivering what they promise. If they don't know what real Hyderabadi biryani looks like, they should at least watch a YouTube video for reference. I would have been happy even with a decent dum biryani, but unfortunately, this was a complete waste of money.

I ordered the squid curry and two vegetables. The squid was horrible, like chewing on rubber, and not properly cooked. Fortunately, the waiter was kind enough to replace the squid with chicken curry. Your food standard has dropped!
My friend has been saying great things about this cafe, so today I decided to check it out. I ordered the squid curry, rice, two vegetables, and a small bowl of fish gravy. The vegetables were cooked very nicely and tasted great. The accompanying fish gravy had a very good balance of ingredients and complemented the meal well. The star of the show was the squid curry; it was nice and spicy and tasted awesome. The squid was, however, a bit chewy, and it would be great if it were cooked to be less chewy. Service was quick and efficient. As I arrived at 1:05 pm, the place was packed, which is why I gave a 4-star rating for the atmosphere. I also had a glass of teh halia, which went well with the meal. I will definitely be back to dine here again when I am in the neighborhood.

Absolutely awful food. It was cold and about as authentic as takeaway from the FairPrice next door. Dreadful. The Ginger Tea was cold and stale. So disappointed and what a waste of money. I walked away and left the food you see in the pictures at the table. I didn't want to risk food poisoning.

I really liked the lamb shank briyani and gobi 65. The curry pairs very well with the briyani, and the gobi 65 is crispy and tasty. Overall, all the dishes were prepared very well; I truly enjoyed the meal.

Had breakfast at Syed Cafe at NUH this morning and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the egg prata and egg onion thosai. Both were generously portioned and really tasty. The Teh Halia and Kopi O were also excellent. Everything was served quickly, the pricing was reasonable, and the overall experience was satisfying. A great spot for good Indian food if you're around NUH. Will definitely be back next time.

Pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality, and service of this Indian cafe, as NUH is not a place I've ever visited. Eateries around were super crowded at lunchtime, and I just popped right in since there was a table available. Too hungry to think, so we ended up with a Mutton Biryani and a Chicken set meal, plus Teh Halia.
The Biryani rice was really aromatic, and I don't think I've tasted such good Biryani. Pity the mutton was a bit tough and had fats or tendon, which made it not so great. It came with a boiled egg, some side salad, and Papadum. The curry accompaniment was just nice.
The Chicken Curry set meal was decent, but the curry sauce was a tad too salty for me. It came with Papadum and a side of cooked vegetables. The portion was pretty large.
I would opt for the Biryani because the rice is the best I've had. The food is pretty good, and I would go again. I like the ambience.

First time here. Ordered a fish head curry set. The gravy was a little dilute but overall okay. Served with 2 rice, 2 vegetables, and 1 omelette. The Teh Tarik was nice too. Staff was attentive and friendly. Will revisit if there's a chance.

Wanted to try this restaurant but it's always full. Finally, an hour before closing, we had the chance to try it.
We asked the waiter if the curry fish head was big or small, and he replied 'big'. Truly, the portion was huge when it arrived. There were both sides of the fish head, making it one whole head. For the promo price, it was $30, but we chose set A for $7.90 more, which included 2 rice and 2 vegetables.
The curry fish head was more of an Assam type, slightly spicy and sourish. I wished they would have included more vegetables besides tomato, rings of onion, and a few ladyfingers.
The cabbage was also very good. When asked if it had a special name, we joked that it was just called 'cabbage'. The ladyfingers were a bit of an acquired taste.
The place is clean and cool.
The teh was a bit sweet but very good too.
Saw others eating prata. It looked fluffy and delicious. Will try it next time.
Waiters are friendly and welcoming.
Good place.
