The MeatHöuse at Tampines Mall promised a hearty, meat-centric experience, but our recent visit left us with a mixed grill of emotions.
I opted for the Filet Mignon (Medium Rare with Garlic Sauce), while my dining companion chose the Braised Lamb Shank. We also enjoyed a comforting Corn Soup and a refreshing Iced Apricot Tea. The total bill came to $96.52.
Unfortunately, the Lamb Shank was a disappointment. The meat was dry and tough, which made it difficult to enjoy. My Filet Mignon started off well, but as I ate, the meat became increasingly rare. I flagged down our server, and she kindly took the dish back to the kitchen for further cooking. However, when it was returned, the meat was well done, which was not what I had requested.
While the food didn't quite meet my expectations, the service was truly outstanding. Hannah, a newly posted staff member, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist us with our requests, even bringing in another staff member to recommend dishes. Her attentiveness and genuine care for our experience were truly commendable.
Overall, The MeatHöuse at Tampines Mall is a restaurant with potential. While the food needs some improvement, the exceptional service provided by Hannah made the experience enjoyable. I would recommend giving this restaurant another try, especially if you're looking for friendly service and a pleasant dining atmosphere.

I'm hoping that when we revisit this place again, the food will have improved.

Tried their weekday set lunch. The protein was fine. All other food items were just average or below average. Service was generally friendly and prompt, and the place was not very crowded on a Friday lunch session.
Located at Level 5 of Century Square.

They don't serve ice water. The place was quiet as it was on the 5th floor. The brunch set came with steak, which was too dry and cold. The carbonara was watery. The halibut fish and chips were crispy, and my boys loved it. However, the steaks were cold, and the meat and mash were cold too. I didn't get the Chinese lady server's name, but I found she came to our table too often to ask to clear our plates; we weren't even finished.

Walked in on a Saturday night and there wasn’t a queue. Got the ribeye steak with whipped potato puree and garden veggies. The steak wasn’t too bad and done to my liking. The potato puree was an interesting side.
Portion wasn't the biggest, but I guess 200g for $30+ is the norm. Service was prompt.

If not for the part-time waitress Serene, my family and I would never want to come back again. We came for the lunch special which provides free-flow soup and drinks. A huge banner for this 12pm-3pm promo was hung right beside the escalator, but the staff insisted it had ended, which I don't think is true. The Malay lady staff lacked knowledge. First, I approached her for help with my online order payment. Instead of checking the error code issue I had, she didn't have the answer and kept confusing me by asking unrelated things like "was my Maybank card registered" and "the discount code is for a minimum of $50 so it cannot be used for my bill which is $59+". She then immediately tapped on my phone to pay without my permission. I was charged an extra $4 because of this. I told her she had no right to decide to click pay on my phone and that she needed to get her manager to settle this for me because it wasn't fair. She replied that they had no manager in the restaurant. She then walked off, avoided me, and stayed away from my table just to avoid settling the overcharged bill. I waited for a long time until I finally called out to Serene (the part-time waitress) for help. While she was checking, we discovered hair in my child's pasta. Serene was very apologetic and tried to resolve our disappointment. She replaced our food and also gave us a side dish to compensate for the overcharged amount. She was so sincere, patient, and spoke politely to us. After assuring us and taking responsibility for all the mistakes, including the hair in the food and the overcharging, she sincerely told us she wished customers could have a happy experience and hoped she could make our experience good again. From the sincere smile and service she provided, we will likely come back because of this great staff you have. Thank you, Serene, you turned our mood around just in time, and we left as happy customers. Serene is a keeper; Meathouse, please convey my compliments to Serene! Attach pic: Spot the hair in my kid's pasta! Chefs and kitchen staff were not wearing hats to prevent hair from falling into food. Unhygienic! Because of the wait staff Serene, I'm giving slightly higher stars. Otherwise, it would be lower.
