Twyst is a pasta restaurant with a branch located in Tampines, offering a modern and customizable dining experience. One of the highlights of dining here is the ability to mix and match your pasta, sauce, and toppings, all conveniently ordered through a self-service kiosk. This makes the process fast and efficient, perfect for diners who like to personalize their meals. The pasta itself is well-cooked, with a good texture that’s neither too soft nor too firm. What sets Twyst apart from other pasta chains, like Pastamania, is its unique range of flavors. Dishes like laksa pasta and gochujang pasta bring bold, interesting tastes that you don’t usually find at typical Western-style pasta places. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something beyond the usual carbonara or bolognese. However, the restaurant does have its downsides, especially during the lunch rush. The place can get quite crowded, and the tray return station often becomes completely full. As a result, people end up leaving their trays and plates on nearby tables, which can make the dining area feel messy and less pleasant. It would be great if the management could improve the efficiency of clearing tables and emptying the return area to keep things tidier during peak hours.

I took away from the Tampines branch and only realised my order was completely wrong when I got home. Apart from the base being aglio olio, which I guess they got right, everything else I asked for was not what I received. I’m not sure if they didn’t have the ingredients I wanted at the time, as I did go at an odd timing in the middle of the afternoon. But at least inform me upon collection instead of giving me something completely different. My order came with (I’m assuming that’s) beef pepperoni, and I do not eat beef, so this is completely unacceptable customer service. Not to mention, I paid extra for two additional toppings, which obviously didn’t reflect themselves in the form of extra ingredients in the order I received. I’m pretty sure that’s my order and I didn’t walk away with someone else’s order as well, given my order number on the receipt collected at the kiosk matches that of the receipt they stapled onto the plastic bag.

Delicious pasta. We decided to go for the Build Your Own Pasta option, with prices starting from $8.50. Each additional topping is from $1.20 after the first two choices. Creamy spaghetti and aglio olio are always safe choices for us. The creamy pasta pairs well with truffle oil, though the truffle flavour wasn't strong enough. Still, it was good overall. The Aglio Olio was light and aromatic. The atmosphere is a minus point due to the open concept kitchen. You'll likely leave with a strong smell on your clothes as the ventilation isn't very good.

Our favorite is their Build Your Own Pasta, as we get to choose the ingredients we want. - Build Your Own Pasta: Miso Butter Spaghetti with Sautéed Prawns, Sous Vide Egg, Clams (Buttery, flavorful ingredients, shiok and yummy) - Build Your Own Pasta: Miso Butter Spaghetti with Poached Chicken and Mushroom (Buttery, flavorful ingredients, simply delicious). Friendly staff. Overall, we love their food and would recommend giving them a try.

[MULTIPLE OUTLETS, SINGAPORE] @twystpasta offers quick, halal-certified pasta that's great for fuss-free meals. While many of their outlets are takeaway kiosks, their newest outlet in Century Square has seating! Their Dry Laksa Olio Spaghetti with Sautéed Prawns, Cherry Tomato, and Edamame ($10.90) had a good coconut flavour, with a nice, manageable spice kicking in afterwards. I liked that it wasn't too wet, and the pasta was quite al dente. The prawns may have been frozen, but they were quite snappy. Quite decent for a simple pasta. You can also customise your pasta, which we did with the Miso Butter base. With added sous vide egg and prawns, this was quite satisfying too, thanks to its sweet and savoury combination with a rich, buttery flavour. While their pastas are quite decent for a quick, fuss-free meal, I do think their service could be improved! The staff were kind, but I think they tend to forget some orders here and there. Perhaps more experience will make it better. Thank you @scalecollab.sg for the invite and @twystpasta for the food!

Love their pasta offerings as they are unique and delicious, while still retaining classic Italian flavors. A fuss-free and affordable option if you’re keen to grab a quick meal of good quality. Miso butter pasta ($10.90): The combination of miso and butter works well with the spaghetti and chicken, adding flavor and fragrance to the dish. The sauce was really unique and unlike any other pastas I’ve had before. Each strand was coated with the savory sauce, and overall it was well-balanced! Laksa olio pasta ($10.90): Tasted really similar to laksa and not too spicy. It also had quite a few succulent prawns. The sauce was rather addictive! The pasta was not overcooked either. Crispy mid wings ($6.50 - 6 pcs): Super crispy, as the name suggests, and very well-marinated. A stellar side dish!

The pasta portions were decently sized and delicious. At $10.5 each, this is comparatively cheaper than many other cafes for what you're getting and is affordable. You're also able to customise your pasta if you wish, which is a nice touch not commonly found these days.
