TLDR: Zero expectations, still disappointed. Pricey, with operational flaws.
Food: $19.40 for 1 large signature beef noodle and 2 beef skewers.
Please note the restaurant is not charging GST as of the date of this review (still registering GST), so the price may be higher in the future.
Portion: Generous noodles, but a poor ingredient-to-carb ratio. Consider reducing noodle quantity and lowering prices. The portion size seems to be like in China, too much for Singapore.
Taste: I've had authentic Lanzhou Lamian in China. This taste is average. The soup was quite salty. The noodles, though freshly pulled, clumped together due to delays in serving. The beef appears to be factory-packed and sliced in-store.
Skewers are small, and $2.5 each. Do note the minimum order of 2 skewers. The taste is average. These are fried, not grilled.
The only positive aspect is the friendly staff.
Significant wait time during off-peak hours. Noodles were prepared quickly but sat waiting as the skewers were delayed.
Poor dine-in design with cramped seating, opposing traffic flow as there are two entrances on opposing sides. Awkward waiting experience as there's no electronic buzzer system. There didn't seem to be a designated collection point, adding to the congestion as customers wait inside the small restaurant.
The cramped layout combines ordering, serving, prep, and cleaning. The open-air kitchen makes hygiene hard to maintain.
They should have just closed off the back entrance for the kitchen. I guess they wanted to showcase the freshly pulled noodles? But they could still achieve this with glass partitions.

First time here... the ambience is not bad. If you want to pay by cash, you have to order at the cashier, or you can pay via card when ordering using the QR code at the table. The bowl serving was decent. At first, the soup broth tasted a bit like mee soto, hmm... strange. The beef was very tender. The oyster mushroom and the braised egg were nice. They came as an add-on for $5. The sour plum drink was nice too. There's a big glass panel to see how the hand-made noodles are made. I wished each table came with a fork and spoon as well, for those who are not familiar with eating with chopsticks.

Taste-wise, it was decent. The handmade noodles had a great texture. Just some tips: their “mala” soup is just their original soup with their chili oil added. By the way, the chili oil is free and readily available on the table, so instead of paying an extra $1 for the “mala” soup, just add your own chili oil . Don't get the dumplings; five small ones for $6 and they took about 20-30 minutes to serve! We had already finished our meal and still had to wait for the dumplings...

Affordable beef noodles, but the taste was really average. We had their signature beef noodles (S) and dry beef noodles (S) at $11.90 nett each. The food was served pretty fast; the noodles were chewy, but the beef was quite dry.
Service was really good though, the staff were friendly and food was served within 5 minutes. I would personally rate it 3.5 stars, but Google only likes whole numbers, so :')

The restaurant is clean and spacious. We ordered 1 Mala and 2 Sauerkraut, and added the promotion of a $5 side with one drink. Serving was fast. However, the server simply placed the hot bowl of noodles on the table. The side was seasoned mushroom, which was just okay. The beef and tendon were average, nothing special. The noodle texture was good, except that it was all clumped together. The good thing was that at least the grilled lamb was great. Lastly, to highlight, it's time to change the worn-out chopsticks.
