Halal Food in Woodlands MRT

Woodlands MRT Station (NS9/TE2) is a major interchange station connecting the North South Line and Thomson-East Coast Line in the heart of Woodlands. The elevated North South Line station completed on 10 February 1996, featuring a distinctive circular, barrel-like roof with beige and green tiles that has become an iconic landmark in the northern region. The station made history on 31 January 2020 when it became Singapore first station to integrate an interchange with an underground Thomson-East Coast Line platform beneath an elevated station. The station pioneered innovative design by being the first MRT station to incorporate an underground bus interchange directly beneath the NSL platforms, creating a seamless intermodal transport hub. This integration extends to surrounding developments, with direct connections to Causeway Point shopping centre and the Woodlands Civic Centre, making it a vibrant focal point for the Woodlands community. Positioned between Marsiling and Admiralty on the North South Line, and between Woodlands North and Woodlands South on the Thomson-East Coast Line, the station enjoys excellent connectivity with frequent train services. The NSL operates at 2 to 5-minute intervals whilst TEL trains arrive every 3 to 6 minutes. Located at 30 Woodlands Avenue 2, Woodlands station serves as the primary transport gateway for residents in Singapore northernmost region, facilitating both local commutes and cross-border travel to Malaysia via the nearby Woodlands Checkpoint.
