Mr Teh Tarik Cartel is a family-friendly halal seafood restaurant that has grown from a single outlet to over twenty locations across Singapore, specializing in authentic local zi char dishes with their signature curry fish head, BBQ stingray, and fresh satay being among their all-time customer favorites. As part of the extensive Mr Teh Tarik group established since the early days of Singapore's food scene, this brand focuses on delivering traditional Singaporean flavors in a comfortable dining environment suitable for families and groups.
Their comprehensive menu combines classic zi char seafood preparations with beloved local dishes including halal-certified Indian and Malay specialties such as Roti Prata, Chapatti, Nasi Lemak, Curry Chicken, and Mutton Briyani, alongside their famous beverage selection featuring Teh Tarik, Kopi Tarik, Ice Teh Limau, and Ice Bandung that have become customer staples. The restaurant has earned recognition for serving curry chicken with a thicker, full-flavored profile compared to typical watery curries, with their coin prata being a popular accompaniment.
With locations including SAFRA Choa Chu Kang where members enjoy 10% discounts, and some outlets operating 24 hours to serve the late-night dining community, Mr Teh Tarik Cartel maintains accessibility and convenience while preserving authentic local flavors. Their commitment to halal certification ensures Muslim families can enjoy traditional zi char dining experiences, while their extensive operating hours and multiple locations make them a reliable choice for both casual meals and family gatherings across Singapore's diverse neighborhoods.

My children bought 2 packets of Fried Rice and 2 packets of Fried Maggi. They were happily eating the food when they reached home, until they saw a dead cockroach in the Maggi. They immediately threw all their food out. Never buying from this place again.

As usual, I bought two packs of Keropok Lekor from this shop. I was charged $3 per pack instead of the $2 I paid previously. This 50% price increase is too much. I will never go to this shop again.

I had the fried cempedak, 3 for $2. The fruit was not good, with a lot of fibre. It wasn't deep-fried enough, and the seed/nut was inedible. The prata and tosai were nice.

Decided to order a thosai earlier at 10:30 AM, but was told by the cashier that I would have to wait for 30 minutes. This isn't the first time I've had to wait so long during a non-peak period.
I reluctantly agreed and decided to walk around Causeway Point to kill some time. Came back half an hour later to find out from the same cashier that one of the staff assigned either wasn't present or couldn't be bothered.
He was nice enough to return my money, so I will commend him for that. Couldn't help but laugh at this piss-poor service. They still had the cheek to price their menu above average in a heartland area with this kind of service.
They got one thing right, though, which is the name of this business by calling themselves Cartel. Will never patronize this establishment ever again.

Cheap and delicious Halal food. My Thosai Masala and Teh Tarik cost only $5, a happy meatless breakfast. For vegans/vegetarians, there are plenty of options. Do note that the meatless dishes might contain alliums, so please check with the staff if you avoid alliums. Avoid peak hours as seating is limited.

I'm a regular here, but I'm mostly here for drinks. I love their Thai Milk Tea; I always get the large, which is 1L and priced at $3.70. It's cheaper than most places and honestly is good. I've tried their other drinks before, like Kopi Cino and others, and they're all quite solid.
