Chic-a-boo Fried Chicken, nestled in the heart of Marina Square at level 3, offers a distinctive halal-certified fast food experience that rivals major international chains while maintaining its unique farm-to-table charm. Located at 6 Raffles Boulevard, this spacious restaurant features rustic wooden furnishing that creates a welcoming ranch-like atmosphere, making it an ideal dining destination for families and groups exploring the Marina Bay area. The establishment prides itself on hand-breading every piece of chicken and ensuring that all orders are freshly fried upon request, demonstrating their commitment to quality over speed in an industry often dominated by pre-prepared fast food.\n\nThe menu showcases CHIC-A-BOO's specialty in mouthwatering fresh and tender fried chicken, complemented by an impressive selection of sides, burgers, and creative offerings at value-for-money bundle pricing. Signature items include their generously portioned fried chicken sets for 5 featuring 6 pieces of chicken, 6 nuggets, and 3 side dishes, while individual meals starting around .90 include fried chicken, battered fish, two customizable sides, corn muffin, and a drink. Popular sides such as perfectly seasoned potato wedges and curly fries, along with unique offerings like dinosaur nuggets and chowder bread bowls, provide diverse options that cater to both adults and children seeking comfort food with a twist.\n\nWhat distinguishes Chic-a-boo from conventional fast food establishments is their focus on made-to-order preparation and customer customization, combined with self-service efficiency that keeps prices competitive. The chicken consistently receives praise for being well-marinated, succulent inside with a crispy, flavorful exterior that features interesting herby seasoning. While the restaurant offers both counter service and self-service kiosks for ordering convenience, the spacious seating arrangement and absence of service charges make it an attractive alternative to pricier Marina Bay dining options. Despite occasional service inconsistencies, Chic-a-boo has established itself as one of the premier halal fried chicken destinations in Singapore, offering genuine value for money with portions and quality that often exceed customer expectations.

We ordered the Cheesy burger, fried fish set, pulled chicken salad, and Japanese curry rice. All tasted okay except the curry rice, which was miserably small (like a kid's meal) and not worth the $10.90 price. We would definitely order the chicken again, but not the rest, if we return.

Quietly situated at the corner, without much queue. The food came neither hot nor warm – the taste was okay. It would probably be better if served hot. The nachos were great as a room temperature snack.

Had a bit of a hiccup with my order – waited around 30 minutes because it didn't make its way to the kitchen. But hey, the food was great, especially for the price! I will still recommend this place for decent fried chicken and sides. I may change this rating the next time I come back for it!

Bought a takeaway at Marina Square Chicaboo on 15 Feb and was disgusted by this! While eating the chicken, I found a plastic tag inside the fried chicken. I decided not to let my kids eat the rest of the chicken I bought, as this shows there was no cleaning or check before it was fried. This is hazardous, cooking plastic into hot oil. Please conduct regular checks on what your staff is doing!

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food especially the fried fish was succulent and full wit
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, especially the fried fish which was succulent and full of tasty fish meat. The sides are wholesome with two choices, and of good portion and quality. The meal is completed with a drink of one choice from a number of selections. Given the price, it was definitely worth repeat visits!

A decent dining experience. They provide metal cutlery, which is a nice touch. The chicken was a tad cold and could have been warmer. Portions are large. Overall, it's average but good value for money.

The taste of the fried chicken from this fast food chain is so fragrant and fantastic. The chicken is tender and juicy! The service provided by the staff is also great. The side dishes were tasty too! The ambience of the restaurant is relaxing as well. Increased crowds are expected during peak periods, but the service provided is quite fast and efficient!

24th June. Excellent service from a nice male staff member – I didn't catch his name, but he was the cashier who served us around 3 pm. The food is made to order, hot, and crispy, which is great. However, the chicken meat was a tad dry, which was a pity as it was juicier when we last had it at City Square before they closed.

On 27 May and 3 June 2025, Aston's Chic a Boo had their 20th anniversary promotion. I honestly didn't know this restaurant existed before this promotion. It was a chicken piece and mashed potato for twenty cents SGD.
The restaurant has ample seating and the food was served on proper porcelain plates with metal forks and spoons. KFC used to offer this back in the 80s, but not anymore.
The staff were friendly, especially on the first visit. However, my friend mentioned that if you rejoined the queue for the promotion, they became less friendly.
The queue for the promotion moved very fast. At times, there was no queue at all. This was in stark contrast to the sushi, tempura, and chicken steak promotions.
If you went as a pair, we noticed that one of the chicken pieces would always be a smaller wing or a drumstick.
The frying was done well. The original flavour was a little bland. The spicy version had more taste but could be quite salty. I would have preferred more herbs in the seasoning. The mashed potatoes tasted good enough for me, though some might find them very basic.
Overall, it was a fantastic promotion, and I would like to thank Astons and the staff for it. I also wanted to mention that a Mr. Louis was a very friendly staff member. The lady at the kitchen window passing out the food was also friendly and professional.
