Crave Nasi Lemak has established itself as Singapore's beloved halal-certified chain, bringing the renowned flavours of The Original Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa to food lovers across the island. With 43 locations spanning popular malls like NEX, Bedok Mall, Jurong Point, and Junction 8, this restaurant has gained recognition from notable figures including PM Lee, the Sultan of Brunei, and the President of Indonesia, cementing its reputation as a must-visit destination for authentic Malaysian cuisine.

What sets Crave apart is their innovative approach to the traditional nasi lemak, featuring fragrant basmati rice instead of conventional short-grain rice. The long basmati grains create a light, fluffy texture with a delicate coconut milk fragrance that perfectly absorbs the accompanying flavours without becoming clumpy. Their signature sambal chili, crafted with both Indian and Japanese chilies, strikes an ideal balance between sweet and spicy, making it accessible even to those with lower spice tolerance while delivering authentic bold flavours.

The menu showcases signature dishes like the 2-piece Spicy Chicken Wings Nasi Lemak and Nasi Lemak Royale, complemented by traditional sides including beef rendang, curry chicken, otah, and sayur lodeh. With affordable pricing ranging from -0 per dish and convenient delivery options through GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Deliveroo, Crave successfully combines traditional Malaysian heritage with modern convenience and accessibility.

I visited twice, first at 10 am and then at 10:20 am on a different day, and surprisingly, the shop was still not open for sales. When I asked the staff, I was told the food wasn't ready. What is this standard? And please ask your staff to be more polite with customers!

I had an unpleasant first experience with this brand. I bought my dinner here on the 12th of March and brought it back to my workplace in the same mall. Shortly after eating, I started feeling extremely nauseous and had to rush to the toilet, experiencing both diarrhea and vomiting. I am certain that the food I ate from Crave was the cause, as I hadn’t consumed anything else that could have triggered this reaction.

My colleague and I had lunch at the new MBFC outlet today. Today was our 2nd time and at both times

My colleague and I had lunch at the new MBFC outlet today. This was our second time, and on both occasions, we had to wait an exceptionally long time for our food to be ready. Other orders placed after ours were served first. During our first visit, we both had ikan selar, and we noticed the fish were being fried just two orders before ours. No wonder we had to wait so long. On our second visit, we tried the stingray and sea bass but were disappointed. The rice was served without the usual sambal. When we approached the staff, they said the sambal was cooked and grilled with the fish. Both fish were served wrapped in banana leaf and aluminium foil. They were so hot that we had trouble unwrapping them. I had an additional order of ikan bilis, but this was forgotten when served. I had to go back to remind the server, and instead of ikan bilis, I received an additional serving of peanuts! I thought they had made a mistake, but they said the ikan bilis was mixed together with the peanuts. It wasn't worth 60 cents, as I wanted ikan bilis and not peanuts!! Suggestions: 1) Additional sambal should still be served on the rice plate instead of expecting us to extract the dried-up sambal from the fish to go with the rice. 2) Please consider unwrapping the fish when served, as it was too hot for customers to tear open. At the same time, most of us don't like to get our fingers oily during lunch.

The food here is terrible, and the staff is not around 90% of the time. Be careful before you order, because if the staff is not present, your order will just be in the queue forever.

We dabaoed this nasi lemak to the hotel, and the food quality remained the same – good and hot. The sambal is spicy; if you love spicy food, go for the banjir sambal! The fried chicken is delicious, and Singaporean nasi lemak is famous for its fried fish cake, which isn't commonly seen in Malaysia. Too bad the anchovies weren't good, otherwise it would have been even nicer. Hehe.

I usually visit around 1pm on weekdays, and there's no crowd. I love the lunch set - the Royale or Jewel set at $10.90 includes a drink and otah, which is quite a good deal!

I can't fault the food. However, a few times I bought from Marina Square, the staff member was ALONE working during lunch hour, which clearly stressed him out. Can the management be kinder by adding someone during peak hours? How can one person handle all the cooking, orders, and packing at the same time? The quality will surely drop. Management? Hello? Are you blind? Or just willfully ignorant?

never knew there is a dine-in for Crave till i visited Marina Square. clean & spacious. food didn’t

I never knew Crave had a dine-in option until I visited the Marina Square outlet. It's clean and spacious. The food didn't disappoint, as usual. I just wish there was a good, traditional local hot drink to go along with my meal :)
