The staff (Malay with hijab) are rude. They always say items are not available or the store is not open, even though it's 24 hours, and they have a lot of attitude. I came once at 4 am and everything was sold out. I came another time at 1 am and everything was being washed. Please hire new staff who can actually do their work.

The taste is still so-so, lah. Nothing spectacular about this Encik Tan. I've tried most of the noodles and curry rice sets. Today, in a hurry, so I chose the cheapest Fish Ball Noodle Dry (Set 1) at SGD4.00.
I used to be a regular here since it opened. Now I seldom eat here. I'm not sure whether the rude uncle and the rude lady are still around; they are the cooks for the noodles side.

Had a very bad experience with the service staff at the drink stall. They were very rude and unapproachable. I wanted to order hot tea, but only cold drinks were available. I also wanted to buy bandung as shown on the board display for $2, but at the counter, it was sold at $2.30. There's a price difference, and if that's the old price, then the price shown on the board should be changed! It's very misleading. This isn't the first time I've wanted to buy a drink here. Since it was drizzling, I wanted to buy some food. I wanted to order the chicken curry drumstick set, but they only had the chicken cutlet set left. The best part is the chicken cutlet was so small, so cold (not even warm), and so hard. It really differed from the picture display. Normally, the chicken cutlet would be cut by the staff, but not this time. Really poor service. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. For the management, please look into this matter seriously, as I see other reviews also facing the same situations. Please educate your staff with good interpersonal skills, not like any market vendor. Thanks!

Black vinegar is not always available for the dry fishball mee pok. For the hotpot noodles, please place the egg at the base of the soup; it will burn when the fire is on. To the girl in the black hijab, I don't expect you to be friendly, but please don't put on a sulky face. I don't owe you millions of dollars.

Service was very bad. That day, the short-haired auntie didn't ask me what kind of noodles I liked and gave me meepok. I clearly told her to change it, but she wasn't happy and argued that I hadn't told her my noodle preference. The short-haired auntie's attitude also changed; she seemed to throw the plastic utensils in the packet at me, as if unhappy. Her colleague, the Malay lady who wears a hijab, was also quite rude. She was defensive of her colleague, which is unacceptable. The noodles used to be nice, but now I see the way they prepare it – it's very rushed and watery, even when I order dry. It seems like they don't put in any effort, and they always have a long face and never say thank you, making me feel unappreciated. It costs around $6 to $7 just for fishball noodles, which I can clearly get cheaper and nicer at a hawker centre.

The first place I came for my meal after moving to Yishun. The $5 chicken cutlet set is definitely the best seller on their menu. It comes with a deep-fried crispy boneless chicken cutlet, stir-fried cabbage, a fried egg, and rice topped with generous Hainanese-style curry sauce. I finished the meal with their $1 lime juice. A perfect meal for $6, with a big serving enough to satisfy any hungry adult. There are plenty of seats inside and behind the counter.

Ordered the curry chicken cutlet set ($5) + takeaway ($0.30). The service was good; the young male staff was polite and packed my meal swiftly.
Went home to try the food. The meal consisted of rice covered in curry sauce, a fried egg, chicken cutlet, and some vegetables. The rice was well cooked and the curry sauce tasted nice. The chicken cutlet was alright, but I wish they would cut it into slices to make it easier to consume. The fried egg and vegetables were decent.
Overall, it was an average and filling meal that's not too expensive. ️
