Their bestseller CKT was a total rip-off... no wok hei and hardly tasted like CKT. The portion wasn't enough even for a child. Encik Tan used to be my favourite. Now that they are famous, prices have gone up, okay, but the standard and quality have dropped many times more. I will not eat at ET anymore. Do not eat their CKT.

Encik Tan offers a variety of foods, much like a mini food court. The curry rice looks interesting. I was there for the claypot rice, which tasted pretty good. However, there were too few ingredients for the price of $6.50.

Only reviewing the char kuay teow. This is a perfect example of what food inflation has come to… 2 prawns, 4 slivers of fish cake, and half an egg for SGD 5.5. Admittedly, the fish cake slivers were tasty; that was pretty much the main highlight. The portion was also excellent for weight loss goals. Conclusion: I'll stick to the curry rice set next time…

Pathetic quantity of prawn noodles for $7. You can see the difference in the amount of noodles between the prawn noodles and the fried kuay teow.

Ordered the salted egg claypot chicken. It was affordable. The chicken was moist and not too bad, and the rice was decent. However, the salted egg sauce was terrible; it was too salty and not fresh. I felt a bit heaty after eating this, causing a slight discomfort in my throat, but I'm feeling better now.
