Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart achieved a significant milestone in Singapore's halal dessert landscape when it became halal-certified in 2018, making authentic Japanese-style cheese tarts accessible to Muslim consumers for the first time. This bakery chain specializes in creating soft, creamy cheese tarts featuring a blend of three different specialty cheeses piped into crunchy shortcrust pastry bases, offering a unique textural contrast that has made it a popular dessert destination. The halal certification process required careful ingredient selection and preparation method modifications to ensure compliance with Islamic dietary laws while maintaining the authentic taste and quality that made the brand internationally successful.

The signature cheese tarts are available in multiple flavors including original, chocolate, and durian varieties, each priced at S$2.90 per piece or S$14.50 for a box of six with attractive bulk purchase deals. The tarts are designed to be enjoyed at different temperatures - best served warm from the oven but equally delicious when chilled or frozen, providing versatility in consumption preferences. The durian variant has particularly resonated with local tastes, offering a creamy and rich durian flavor that appeals to Southeast Asian palates, while the chocolate and original cheese versions cater to more universal preferences.

With strategic locations at Jurong Point, Parkway Parade, Causeway Point, Changi Airport Terminal 3, and Bugis Junction, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart has established strong accessibility across Singapore's key shopping and transport hubs. The brand's success in Singapore demonstrates the growing market for premium halal desserts and the importance of halal certification in expanding customer reach. By maintaining authentic Japanese preparation techniques while ensuring halal compliance, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart has successfully bridged cultural and religious dietary preferences, contributing to Singapore's reputation as a destination where international culinary concepts can thrive while respecting local community needs.

Went to get 1 mega savoury and 2 small savoury pies today (07.10.2021). I was greatly disappointed by the sales staff. They were busy talking among themselves rather than serving customers. I asked for my pies to be heated up, but they weren't. They weren't even put into paper envelopes; the staff just dumped the three pies into a box.

RUDE STAFF: Hi, I would like to complain regarding one of the staff who was working at about 8pm at Causeway Point Hokkaido on the 3rd of September 2022. She was very rude to my father. She raised her voice, "HERE LA!" because my dad tapped on the wrong screen for payment, as he has trouble seeing clearly due to health issues. I hope Hokkaido can do something about this rude staff. Moreover, there wasn't any queue, so I think we would appreciate it if she served us politely as a human being. Plus, she did not even make eye contact when serving us. Please educate your staff and train them better when facing customers. It's basic etiquette. It would be better if you had CCTV to monitor your staff. Thank you. I hope you take this feedback seriously. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time.

One of the best cheese tarts in town. Yesterday, I was there and bought 6 cheese tarts: 1 salted caramel and 1 salted egg tart. We ate the cheese tarts once we reached home. Unfortunately, they tasted funny, with a bitter taste for all the cheese tarts. The salted caramel and salted egg tart were fine. Quite disappointed.

Staff was friendly, but the tart's crust is getting from bad to worse! It's so thick now and powdery, and tastes of nothing. So disappointing. I can't even eat the crust; I just eat the filling. Can't believe 2 tarts are $6++. Inflation is insane. Not going to repurchase anymore unless the recipe is improved.

Awful taste. I bought a pack, and nobody at home could eat it. One of the tarts started to turn greyish inside, similar to what you'd see in the yolk of overcooked hard-boiled eggs. We ended up throwing it away.

We managed to try a box of 6 of their tarts! Their cheese tarts had a creamy, rich cheese flavour, which was complemented by the buttery base of the tart. Firstly, we enjoyed the blueberry cheese tart. The blueberry flavour added a unique, refreshing, and slightly sour taste to the tart. This tart is perfect for those who feel jelak (overly rich/satiated) more easily. Secondly, the almond chocolate tart was on the richer and more decadent side. The almonds were slightly soft but still managed to add a nice crunch to the tart. The chocolate was not too sweet as well, and paired the cheese quite nicely. Lastly, the salted egg yolk cheese tart was a unique flavour combination! The salted egg yolk matched the sweeter and creamier cheese filling quite nicely. It wasn't the best combination, but perfect for salted egg yolk lovers. Overall, their tarts are definitely worth a try!
