Kopitiam represents Singapore's evolution of traditional hawker culture, transforming the beloved kopitiam experience into modern, air-conditioned food courts across the island. With over 70 outlets operated by NTUC Enterprise since 2018, Kopitiam has become an integral part of Singapore's dining landscape, offering the best local hawker fare at affordable prices.
Each Kopitiam food court houses a diverse collection of stalls serving iconic Singaporean favorites including Hainanese chicken rice, laksa, char kway teow, yong tau foo, and kaya toast, alongside international cuisines from Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese traditions. Special outlets like Plaza Singapura feature Michelin-approved hawkers, bringing award-winning flavours under one roof.
Beyond just food, Kopitiam serves as important community spaces where Singaporeans from all walks of life gather daily. Recently revitalized locations at major malls feature thoughtful interior designs and comfortable modern environments while maintaining the authentic taste and competitive pricing that makes hawker culture accessible to everyone.

Chee Cheong fun stall, located next to the drinks stall. I was raving about the freshly made prawn chee cheong fun (similar to those found in Cantonese dim sum restaurants) until I discovered a strand of white hair (or plastic) in the middle of the dish. As the lady serving was nice and friendly, I decided not to confront her.

During lunch time today at Parkway Parade Kopitiam Food Court, at the Ma Ma noodle stall, I witnessed an incident where the stall counter woman (believed to be from China) loudly and rudely argued with a well-dressed local elderly gentleman who appeared to be retired.
Without knowing the exact situation, I can confidently say that customers are always right! No customer would argue with stall workers if their order is correct! This woman was too aggressive to be serving customers.

If you are staying at Marine Parade, then you have no choice but to go to PP for food in air-conditioned comfort. However, the food is pricey and tastes bad! Nothing tastes good.
Had MaMa - Putien Lor Mee (very starchy) with little ingredient. Ordered char siew and siew yoke - the char siew was very hard, especially for the elderly. The Pad Thai also did not taste like original Thai taste and looked weird. I will no longer be going back!

While the variety of food at this Kopitiam is commendable, the management's planning leaves much to be desired. For such a large food court, it's baffling that there's only one drink stall serving coffee and tea. This results in long queues — I had to wait 15 minutes just for a cup of coffee. Surely, more drink stalls or a better queue management system is needed.
Additionally, I was seated at one of the corner bench areas, but the experience was unpleasant due to constant vibrations and the "sound" from the high-powered exhaust system. It made sitting and eating there uncomfortable.
I hope the management can seriously review these issues and improve the customer experience.

Stall to AVOID: Indonesian BBQ stall facing the drinks counter. They serve food on unclean plates. Gravy (or mould??) from the previous user remains, making it so unhygienic I want to throw away my entire plate. The tall lady serving the dishes is also very snappy and unpleasant. Better stay away.

The recently renovated food court is now back and better than ever. There are more food stalls and seating available. The interior decor is far more pleasing than before. Some food stalls have been replaced, such as the previous Yong Tau Foo stall. Overall, it's a very nice and beautiful food court.

Had a satisfying meal at Donuri Oyster Bar in Parkway Parade’s Kopitiam! I tried their promotional Chicken Ramen set with Gyoza and egg — the chicken was tender and fresh, and the broth was perfectly balanced. The Gyoza had a great bite. I also had the Grilled Mackerel Don — the fish was fresh, and the sauce paired with the rice was absolutely delicious. They offer a variety of dishes, and even serve fresh oysters and beer. Definitely coming back for more! Yum yum!
