Old Chang Kee has been Singapore's legendary curry puff destination since 1956, when it began as a humble stall in a coffee shop near Rex Cinema on Mackenzie Road, earning the nickname "Rex Curry Puff." Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Han Keen Juan, who acquired the business in 1986, Old Chang Kee transformed from a small corner stall into Singapore's most recognized snack chain, officially receiving halal certification from MUIS on January 7, 2005.
Every Old Chang Kee curry puff contains their signature blend of zesty curried potatoes, succulent bite-sized chicken chunks, and slices of boiled egg, mixed with a perfect combination of herbs and spices that has remained consistent for decades. Beyond their legendary curry puffs (rebranded as Curry'O in 2008), the menu includes Singapore chicken curry, nasi lemak, Singapore laksa, and various local snacks that celebrate Singapore's diverse culinary heritage.
With over 100 retail outlets worldwide including 80+ locations across Singapore and international presence in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, Old Chang Kee sells more than 40,000 curry puffs daily. The company has earned prestigious recognition including the SPBA Distinctive Brand Awards 2005, Singapore Brand Award Heritage Award 2005, and selection by U.S. Travel & Leisure Magazine as one of the world's 20 best fast food chains in 2012 - the only Singapore brand to receive this honor.

I got food poisoning from the curry puff and cheesy sausage. I'm pretty sure it was caused by OCK in Arc because I didn't eat anything else and the effects kicked in really fast. I'm not sure which one exactly caused it, but please watch the hygiene in your outlet.

March 2023. I got the dry mee Siam set. By almost 1pm, there was no more braised bee hoon available, and I had to pay an extra dollar. The set didn't have many ingredients, just a few small pieces of fried tau pok and half an egg. The $6.50 set came with 3 fish balls, 1 chicken wing, and coffee. The chicken wings could have been crispier. The lime really saved the dish. The bee hoon itself was quite dry. The coffee was served in a paper cup. I visited the Singpost branch previously, and they served coffee in enamel mugs which held a larger volume. I suppose different outlets have different standards. There are seats available inside. Next door at Wang Cafe, there was a long queue.

Nasi Lemak Rice set. The rice was extremely fragrant, and the sambal chilli complemented the dish very well. The dry curry chicken didn't really bring out any flavours. It comes with an egg and ikan bilis. The portion was pretty generous.

The staff here are pretty friendly. This outlet opens quite early, before 7:30 am, but most food isn't ready yet. The morning queue for coffee and tea is quite long here, and also at the next-door Wang. I love their set meal of mee hoon with chicken wing and fish balls, plus coffee, which is pretty affordable. Their mee hoon tastes quite good.

This place sells tasty Chinese comfort food of good, consistent quality. Depending on your budget, you can have a simple or extravagant meal.
It gets extremely crowded during lunch hours, so try to come before noon to beat the crowd.
You should also try their lychee tea drink, which is pretty good.
