The food was good, in fact better than any other outlet, but one thing that irked me was the lackadaisical service. The staff were not very welcoming, no smiles, no greetings; they lacked warmth. It creates a bad impression of Singaporeans for international visitors, especially at the airport.
On the day I visited, dining space availability was limited, and the staff who attended to me seemed reluctant and slightly annoyed to clear a table. I ended up getting a table that was very close to another diner (I was carrying a haversack, returning from travel). Service felt more like a protocol than sincerity. Even during payment, the cashier's attitude felt cold, and not a single 'thank you' was offered. It makes me wonder why the 10% service charge is mandatory.

Today was my first visit to this restaurant.
I ordered the nasi lemak with beef rendang and the Hainanese Chicken chop with fries.
The nasi lemak was mediocre; the rice didn't really have the santan taste, and the chilli portion was paltry. The fried ikan bilis tasted stale and was not crunchy at all. Only the beef rendang passed the test.
The Hainanese Chicken chop was average at best. There were no issues with the chicken, but the so-called sweet and sour sauce was a disappointment. The fries, while fresh, were not salted.
The restaurant should consider having a condiments corner where customers can get chilli and tomato sauce, as well as salt and pepper, to augment the rather insipid food served.
Would I visit this restaurant again? Definitely not, as you can get better food at hawker centres for less than half the price!

They told me it was the last order, but I could still sit down and enjoy my meal even though they were running out of the main ingredient for my laksa curry noodles. I was very understanding and told the server that I was okay with anything they could provide. It was 9:30 pm, and I was told I had to leave immediately when my coffee was still halfway through. I wouldn't have ordered anything if they had told me I only had less than half an hour for my meal. The way they asked me to leave was: "I gave you one minute." It was terrible manners and completely non-hospitable. It really hurt my experience in Singapore. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

The food was good, but one staff member wearing glasses and braces provided bad service. She acted as though we owed her. If she's not happy to work, she might as well not work.

An unassuming chain restaurant nestled within a stretch of eateries serving heartwarming Nanyang cuisine. The food offers a lot of variety for you to choose from. Surprisingly, I loved the chicken rice; everything was well done for this dish. Happy to have it back in Singapore. For the roti canai with curry, I wished the curry gravy was a bit more watery, which would make dipping easier. However, I'm glad they allowed us to have more gravy, as the initial serving was too little.
Pleasantly surprised, the kaya toast was also well done with a good spread of butter that elevated the whole deliciousness of the dish.
The staff are friendly and made me feel like the auntie who lived next door.
I'd love to go back again anytime. The whole experience, especially after returning to SG, made me feel like I am home.

Our family's first time here last night, and it was a lovely experience. The staff were all friendly, prompt, and helpful. We appreciated how kid-friendly it is, especially for our two-year-old. He really loved the chicken rice! We liked the other dishes we had as well, including the char kway teow and bryani rice. Located on Level 2M of Changi Airport Terminal 4. Thank you!

Not sure where to have my dinner while waiting for my departure flight, I was strolling around when a friendly Chinese auntie approached me and offered my family a menu. She waited patiently while we decided if we should dine at Papparich.
Due to her good vibes, we decided to dine in. The food was amazing! (Refer to my photo) and the auntie's service was top-notch, giving us bowls for sharing and checking in with us about the food!
However, perhaps the Chinese man taking my orders could be a little friendlier and gentler with my food.

Review for PappaRich at Changi
Had an absolutely awesome experience at PappaRich in Changi. From the moment we walked in, the place had a warm, welcoming vibe. We ordered the nasi lemak and curry mee—both were packed with flavor. The nasi lemak had fragrant coconut rice, crispy anchovies, and a perfectly cooked egg, with sambal that had just the right amount of heat. The curry mee was rich, spicy, and comforting—everything you want in a bowl of Malaysian-style noodles.
But the highlight of the meal? The coffee. It was incredibly smooth, bold, and aromatic—probably one of the best cups I've had in a long time. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite before a flight or just exploring Jewel/Changi, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
