The website states that the shop closes at 9pm. I arrived at 8:50pm, just intending to pick up a cake to take away, but was told that you were already closed. The cash register was also closed. Please update your operating hours.

Disclaimer: this is a review of the dining-in experience, not the confectionery which produces consistently decent cakes and puffs. Single-use everything (except the trays)-- and even though we dined in, we were given nothing to eat off or with. The 'latte' ($4) comes out of a machine and was not great. The seating is odd too. You're forced to sit next to rather than across from your companion to have a conversation. The decor is pretty, which is what brought us in, but everything else about it is deeply uninviting, making you want to leave ASAP. As a place to sit and have a quiet drink, any other establishment would be less depressing.

Had a very bad experience with a staff member named Maggie. I walked into the shop and saw only three cakes on display. So, I politely asked if they offered more than the three cakes that were being displayed. To my surprise, Maggie said, "Obviously don't have what," while rolling her eyes at me. I then proceeded to order a cake that was on display. Afterwards, she asked me something which I didn't quite hear. So I said, "Sorry, I couldn't hear you." Maggie then shouted, "You want candles or not?" At this stage, I was fuming at how blatantly rude she was. I was frankly embarrassed as well because all the customers in the shop paused and looked at us. There was absolutely no need for her to be rude. To any potential customers who wish to patronize Polar at TTSH, be wary of Maggie. She is indeed blatantly rude and unwelcoming. Other than that, the food is great here!

I was at the TTSH Polar Puffs & Cakes outlet this morning around 7:45 am to 8:00 am. I was served very badly by a Chinese lady. This is not my first time visiting this outlet, and it's not the first time this lady has treated me badly. (Previously, I asked her to cut my butter cake, and she insisted she couldn't do it.) I asked for two sugared rolls and a few other rolls. She forced them into a box. Apart from that, I also ordered some puffs and sandwiches. Her tone was so rude the moment I walked into the outlet. She packed all my food items in a small bag. I requested another bag, and she ignored me completely. Eventually, I repeated that I needed another bag, and she just walked away from me at the cashier. At the cashier, I was served by Zahirah, if I'm not mistaken. She has good customer service; she spoke politely and packed my food. She gave me another plastic bag as she saw my original bag was stuffed with the items I had purchased. To the management, thank you for having good customer service staff like Zahirah. As for the aunty who worked this morning, please advise her that I come to purchase items and do not cause any problems, so she doesn't have to show attitude to customers.

I was surprised that the outlet stopped serving hot beverages by 6:15 pm. I'm not sure if the machine was out of order or if the staff were just eagerly cleaning up the kitchen to be ready for closing at 7:45 pm.

The rolls here are very fluffy and easy to eat! I really like their puffs here too, like the tuna & chicken puff; they're very good for takeaways.

I'd like to commend the cashier staff. Her name seemed to be Nazrinah, though I couldn't be completely sure as her badge was faded. I truly appreciated her professionalism. (Visited on 13 May 2025)
