Kopitiam represents Singapore's evolution of traditional hawker culture, transforming the beloved kopitiam experience into modern, air-conditioned food courts across the island. With over 70 outlets operated by NTUC Enterprise since 2018, Kopitiam has become an integral part of Singapore's dining landscape, offering the best local hawker fare at affordable prices.
Each Kopitiam food court houses a diverse collection of stalls serving iconic Singaporean favorites including Hainanese chicken rice, laksa, char kway teow, yong tau foo, and kaya toast, alongside international cuisines from Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese traditions. Special outlets like Plaza Singapura feature Michelin-approved hawkers, bringing award-winning flavours under one roof.
Beyond just food, Kopitiam serves as important community spaces where Singaporeans from all walks of life gather daily. Recently revitalized locations at major malls feature thoughtful interior designs and comfortable modern environments while maintaining the authentic taste and competitive pricing that makes hawker culture accessible to everyone.

The kopitiam at TTSH Level 1 is the worst and most poorly managed food court. This is not the first time I am complaining. The queue is always so long, and can you believe a patient or doctor waiting for a cup of coffee for 15-20 minutes? Why can't more staff be deployed to man the coffee counter? Managed by one staff when the queue is super long. Getting a cup of coffee has to wait so long? So poorly managed. Can someone look into that? Thank you.

I ordered Chicken Rice for takeaway three times over two weeks for my mum, who is hospitalised at TTSH. The first time, I was given meat from the chicken's backside, which was very fatty. The second time was slightly better, but the portion of meat was miserably small. The third time was the worst. I received almost all bones, with more bones than meat in the takeaway box! Additionally, there were no cucumbers or any vegetables in the box on any of the occasions.
I also tried ordering Wanton Mee once. As the photo on the menu showed Wanton Mee without Char Siew, I asked the male stall helper. It turns out it's true; their Wanton Mee doesn't come with Char Siew. How ridiculous!
Their neighbouring stall selling vegetarian food has already packed up after all the media frenzy over their overpriced and unfresh food. I foresee this Chicken Rice stall will be next in line to pack up!

Yong Tau Foo stall
Dessert stall
Bought from both stalls and the staff at both were rude and unacceptable.
The Yong Tau Foo stall had a petite girl managing it. She was non-local, and while her words were few, her gestures showed annoyance and frustration towards the customers in front of me, and myself. I told her off for her attitude and for disrespecting my mother.
Likewise, the Indian staff at the dessert stall could definitely work on her customer service skills. The lady customer behind me shared the same sentiment.

Worst western food ever. Ordered grilled lamb with mashed potatoes, but was only given a plastic knife. How was I supposed to cut the lamb? Furthermore, I've never seen such a thin lamb chop before. The mashed potatoes were served cold and sour. The chicken cutlet was deep-fried to a dark brown, nearly overcooked, and was also hard to cut with a plastic knife. The side dish, coleslaw, was just some raw cabbage with mayonnaise on top.

The food doesn't seem healthy. The lontong rice was hard, and the gravy wasn't warm. The 99% sugar-free drinks are also costly at $2 per can. MOH/TTSH should review their food offerings.

The cai fan is good. Don't be too intimidated by the queue; it's quite fast-moving (10-15 minutes wait when the queue is all the way out of the door). I would safely say this is one of the stalls I'll patronise when here. $5.70 for 2 vegetables and 1 meat on white rice.
I would recommend the:
- Sweet and sour fried chicken
- Broccoli
- Eggplant
- Braised pork belly
(Sorry, I ate before I could take a photo. I'll update when I come again.)

Most of the stalls offered brown rice. The Western, Chicken Rice, and Nyonya stalls served brown rice. I chose the YTF with 6 pieces + brown bee hoon. The brown bee hoon was very special. The soup was tasteless, but the YTF was fresh. The bitter gourd was sliced very thinly. The eggplant did not come with meat. The fish cake was not bad. The price was $4.60, which was acceptable. After lunch, I went to buy soya and peanut pancake to eat.
