Went on a weekday (15-July) for an early lunch with my wife. The reviews were too generous and hence misleading. Overall, we had a mediocre experience. Ambiance: As in a food court (which it was). Welcome: Friendly but subdued. Name vs. Menu Option: Not everything can be called “street food”. Quality of Food: The aloo gobi (potato-cauliflower) lived up to its name and expectation; light, not oily, not heavy on spices, and tasty. The rajma was sweet; not authentic taste. The masala chai was too milky and lacked tea flavour. For these dishes, especially for “street food”, one usually expects to get some freshly cut onion slices, lime, green chilli, or pickle. There were none. Quantity of Food: Good for light eaters like us. But not really value-for-money for a food court. Ease of Payment: I couldn’t use my Great Rewards points to pay (no reason was given). Cleanliness: The tables were wiped but not clean. They were all oily. Mind you, we were one of the first customers that day. The chairs had food particles on them (when the tables were being cleaned, I guess). Don’t plan to go again.

The owner is very rude to his customers. After coming from so far away, you expect to have decent food and communication. But our day was ruined by him. The owner has hearing difficulty, so please state your order clearly and check if he heard correctly.

The quality of food is amazing! Oh, the flavours! A little of #middleeastern #pakistani and #bangladeshi. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chicken Biryani $14.90 One of Singapore’s finest chicken biryanis, with aromatic rice and perfectly tender, marinated chicken. A must-try for anyone seeking top-quality biryani in #singapore. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Butter Chicken Rice Bowl $12.90 Butter chicken is rich, creamy, and flavorful, with tender chicken in a luscious, spiced sauce, served with onions and aromatic, long-grained, fluffy basmati rice, known for its nutty flavor and light texture. ⭐⭐⭐ Punjabi Pakoras $8 Deep-fried fritters made from vegetables coated in spiced gram flour batter. The outer layer was a bit too hard, but the flavours were amazing. The mint/chilli sauce added extra layers of flavour, enhancing the taste with a refreshing twist. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mango Lassi $10.90 So "gao" (rich)! A fragrant and thick mango treat! Came with saffron on top! 📍 SEMOLINA Tanglin Mall B1-121 163 Tanglin Road Singapore 247933 #foodiegram #comfortfood #instafoodie #sg #sgfood #foodielife #sgfoodies #sgfoodie #sgeats #foodsg #whati8today #hungrygowhere #sgfoodblogger #eatoutsg #sgfoodtrend #singaporefoodie #instafoodsg #sgfoodlover #sgfooddiary #singaporerestaurant #wheretoeatsg #whattoeatsg

The best compliment to a chef is a cleaned-out dinner bowl. Ridiculously tasty biryani and butter chicken/paneer bowls. It's slightly on the fusion side but retains authenticity, spice, and flavour. A wonderful, incognito speakeasy street food vibe with a charismatic proprietor. The price point is palatable for the quality. It's so easy to walk past this place and miss out altogether, but I often wonder how this place hasn't already gone viral, given all the serious cravings it's caused me!

We had an amazing experience at Semolina, an authentic Indian restaurant serving some of the best Indian food we’ve tried! We ordered the Aloo Tikki, Mysore Masala Dosa, Butter Chicken Rice Bowl, and Masala Chai, and each dish was bursting with flavor. The Butter Chicken Rice Bowl was definitely our favorite—rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. The combos were spot on, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend Semolina to family and friends! We’ll definitely be back for more!
