I often eat here at the Subway outlet in Hougang, especially after working late. Today, February 5th, just to be sure, I asked the counter staff what time they close before ordering. They said 10 pm, so I proceeded to order. The time was 8:25 pm.
While enjoying a peaceful late dinner and watching a show, one of the staff members started closing the area I was in. Confused, I took a photo at 8:40 pm. At 8:47 pm, the staff member approached me and said, 'We're closing already,' and asked me to leave. He then began to close off more of the seated area. I had no choice but to hurry up and leave.
I often eat here, so I know I have stayed longer than 9 pm to dine in before. To the tall and slightly larger-built staff member working at this time, next time please ensure you inform your diners with correct information before asking us to leave. I understood and didn't argue, but next time, could there be a signage indicating the closing time, rather than closing areas while diners are still present? I just want to highlight this matter. No need to say out loud you don't want to come next time, it's your fault, okay? You paid for a different bread but when it's time to pick your bread, you ordered flat, so there was an additional charge. How rude of you! Self-control is important. Do not spoil people's day and create nonsense. Not all customers are always RIGHT.
