Great place, the bread was okay. The service lady at the cashier counter was a bit confused. She just received payment but didn't mention what to do after ordering.

Mould was found on the fruit tart I bought on 06/07, despite it being labelled "consume by 07/08". I purchased three cakes and didn't inspect them closely as I placed them all on one plate. However, my husband commented that the berries looked very strange. Thankfully, his observation prompted us to discover the mould before we ate it. The other two cakes were fine and delicious. All my previous purchases of buns have also been perfectly fine. The coffee is fantastic, and I am a regular patron. It's not convenient for me to return for a refund, and I no longer have the receipt. I would just like to suggest that the branch improve quality control on the fruits. I understand that mouldy fruits can occur even at home, especially in humid Singapore, and that fruit quality can be affected even before delivery. Thank you for considering this.

Interesting transition from bakery to cafe. I tried the chef's recommended Indonesian coconut fried chicken. It felt like just normal fried chicken, slightly better than Toastbox's but still dry and lacking a distinct coconut flavour. The rice was plain white rice, not nasi lemak. I might try another chicken flavour next time. The chilli, peanut, and other condiments were okay, standard but not exceptional. The egg was not runny; it would have been better if it were. The crackers were plentiful, which kids would likely enjoy. However, it's important to ensure they don't mix with the chicken, as the heat or oil can make the crackers soggy and hard.

Very dishonest and rude staff working in this outlet. I bought $50 worth of sandwiches and was charged $54. I only realised this when I got home and checked my receipts. Instead of one receipt, they gave me five receipts because they couldn't bear to give more than one plastic carrier for the 24 sandwiches I purchased. They insisted on one plastic bag per transaction, with extra plastic bags costing $0.10 each. I didn't ask for five plastic carriers; I only asked for two to hold the 24 sandwiches . Is that too much to ask?

Ordered the orhnee toast (pumpkin and butter), which was surprisingly good. It would have been better if the taro was actually hot. I would say it's comparable to, and even better than, Suukee. They were very generous with the orhnee, but the toast could have been crispier. The staff attitude at the counter was lacklustre, and they mostly tried to ignore me. Overall, it's a bit sad that only this Paya Lebar branch of Swee Heng had this cafe with orhnee toast. $3 for each flavour, and it's much more filling than you would expect.

Best scrambled egg grilled chicken toast ($4.5) I've ever tasted! The toast is crisp, and the scrambled egg tastes milky, way better than McDonald's. It's also super filling and worth the bucks. The staff working there just looks so done...

I like their coffee and tea so far. Swee Heng's coffee and tea never fails to deliver. They have an amazing assortment of bread and cake. I tried their buns and cake, and they are a lot better than your usual bakery. They used to have a Nasi Lemak bun; it was packed with flavour, but it's sad to know they have discontinued it.

We were hungry and arrived at SingPost Mall. We looked for a place to eat everywhere, but all were full. Finally, we found this place called "Swee Heng 1989 Bakery Cafe". We decided to try their food instead of just bread, as this stall offers both. Overall, the taste was really nice. I ordered the chicken cutlet fried rice and creamy butter prawn with rice. Both dishes were delicious. They looked fresh from the oven, and we could taste each ingredient. I recommend this place. Keep up the good work!
