I had purchased a cake for my son's 2nd birthday for a small home celebration. It turned out to be disappointing as there was a human hair in the cake, which very upsettingly disrupted our celebration. I never expected this from this brand. I wanted to share a picture but was unable to do so. Hence, I've shared it separately.

I don't know about the Clementi branch, just for your information and I need an explanation for this. Usually, I will buy or order from Foodpanda at Jurong East. But that particular day, it was closed. I saw the Clementi branch was open and I was searching for the bread I wanted. So I scrolled down and saw a bread (pork bread). I told the Foodpanda customer service officer about it. Yesterday, 06/06/2024, at about 8 PM, my family and I went shopping. I passed by this place and saw a halal sticker pasted on the door, and I saw it clearly. I hope the owner of this place can give an explanation. Sorry for any inconvenience. The bread and everything they sell is nice and tastes good. I didn't mean to complain, but it's confusing. Thanks.

The cake was okay, but the pretzel on top was horrible, probably because it had been kept too long.

My preference would be the Begawan Solo flavours, which are carefully crafted for their taste and appropriate sweetness.

Bought a mango cake at Clementi Mall. First time buying from Swee Heng. Swee Heng is also halal certified. Staff were very friendly and fast. I was surprised that the store also provided paper plates and forks (6) besides the knife. So far, this is the first time I've seen such service provided. Kudos.

Swee Heng is so underrated. Their bakeries are consistently good and true to their original taste. This is something that is really difficult to find in Singapore, where people mostly have bland tastebuds.

The pineapple bun egg tart fusion was a bit of a miss, as I didn't like the ratio (too much egg tart filling). The pandan bun and cranberry muffin were pleasant, though, and the bakery is certainly good quality.

This is an outlet of a legacy Singaporean bakery brand. Starting from just one outlet to becoming a franchised empire, Swee Heng has evolved and adapted to consumer demand for easy access to quality breads and pastries. The quality of the bread and buns here is solid without being necessarily spectacular or even memorable, but nostalgia is a powerful flavor enhancer! It's comparable to BreadTalk, with some confections unique to the Swee Heng brand.
