Tang Tea House stands as a pioneering halal Chinese restaurant chain that has successfully bridged the gap between traditional Chinese cuisine and halal dining requirements for nearly two decades, operating five locations across Singapore with a dedicated Central Kitchen for dim sum, sauces, and dips. Founded by a senior couple with deep understanding of both Chinese culinary traditions and Singapore's diverse dining needs, Tang Tea House has created a unique position in the market by offering authentic Chinese flavors through halal-certified preparation methods. The restaurant's comprehensive approach includes locations in Bedok Road, Jalan Kayu, Jurong West, Changi Village, and Raffles Boulevard, ensuring accessibility across different residential and commercial areas. With over 300 menu items and a commitment to handcrafted dim sum made from scratch daily, Tang Tea House has established itself as a rare destination where Muslim diners can experience authentic Chinese cuisine without dietary restrictions.

The culinary excellence at Tang Tea House manifests through their extensive menu featuring signature dishes like Crispy Bee Hoon and Chicken Rice, alongside popular offerings such as chili crab, curry and assam fish head, and their renowned pan-fried crispy beehoon that has become a customer favorite. The restaurant's dim sum selection represents a particular achievement, with handcrafted dumplings and baos made using secret house recipes that feature chicken as the primary protein, ensuring halal compliance while maintaining authentic flavors and textures. Other menu highlights include zi char-style dishes that reflect Singapore's Chinese heritage, complemented by their signature Super Cooler drink that has become synonymous with the Tang Tea House experience. The restaurant's commitment to fresh preparation, generous portions, and wallet-friendly pricing has made it a popular choice for family dining, celebrations, and casual meals across all their locations.

Tang Tea House's significance extends far beyond its commercial success to its cultural impact as a bridge between Chinese culinary traditions and Singapore's Muslim community, demonstrating that authentic ethnic cuisine can be successfully adapted to meet diverse dietary requirements without compromising quality or authenticity. The restaurant's nearly 20-year journey has proven the viability of halal Chinese cuisine in Singapore's competitive food market, inspiring other establishments to explore similar adaptations. The establishment's relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options makes it suitable for various dining occasions, from casual weekday meals to special celebrations and late-night suppers. Tang Tea House's success story represents the entrepreneurial spirit and cultural adaptability that defines Singapore's food scene, showing how traditional recipes can be respectfully modified to serve broader communities while preserving the essence of authentic Chinese flavors and cooking techniques.

The service was atrocious. The staff seemed half-hearted and uninterested when my family arrived. It was just the worst experience. We ended up not eating here because it was such a turnoff. We ate at other nearby places instead.

Was there today during lunch period and could not place an order due to staff claiming 'kitchen jam' with an estimated waiting time of 30 minutes. Yes, I had the choice to wait or not, but there was no signage stating the waiting time. I queued and wasted my time before being told about their 'kitchen jam'. I saw a number of customers waiting outside for their takeaways. Perhaps this needs to be improved, especially during lunch periods when crowds set in.

Avoid at all costs. Ordered via QR code. The system is all over the place. You need to make payment immediately. There's no Apple Pay or Samsung Pay option, and no cash option. You have to enter your card details manually. Then, there's no record of what you ordered. The chicken for the chicken rice was cold. Customer service is poor. It was their mistake, and they wanted me to pay more. No wonder it's empty. Stay away at all costs.

The worst and most disappointing experience ever. I ordered using the QR code, and there was no proper indication whether my noodles were the soupy or dry kind. The staff were inattentive and unfriendly. I will not be recommending this place to anyone! My first order was not what I imagined. I ordered a second one, and again it was wrong and not to my liking. If you really must eat here, please order at the counter. The picture showed deep-fried crispy bee hoon, but there was nothing deep-fried or crispy about it.

Love this place for lunch. The Kampong fried rice is amazing. However, I only get drinks when the Malay Kakak is working. My teh ice was made by someone else on a day she wasn’t working, and it was so bad. I went up to the counter to ask for a change – their comprehension skills were poor.

Tang Tea House at Marina Square is a bonus! It has cozy seating and is kid-friendly. Well, you do have to 'self-service', and that's okay! It's one of the best Chinese rojak I've had, with crispy youtiao and not overly sweet. Thanks, Tang Tea! We don't have to go so far for you anymore!

A new eatery located in Marina Square, I tried the signature deep-fried crispy noodles and it turned out to be a warm and hearty meal! There was a decent variety of ingredients and flavor, served in a metal wok bowl. Service and ambience were generally okay. Currently, they have a Grab discount, so it's quite reasonably priced for its location.

Didn't know they opened another outlet in Marina. And I don't know why, but the food here tastes better! Really love the cosy vibes of New Tang Tea! Nice and friendly staff. Finally, a good, comfy meal that can be found in the mall! And it's wheelchair accessible too, which is easier for my mum!
