The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has been a cornerstone of Singapore's premium coffee culture since 1996, establishing itself as a sophisticated yet accessible destination for coffee and tea enthusiasts. With over 70 locations across the country and complete MUIS halal certification at all outlets, this Los Angeles-born chain has successfully adapted to Singapore's diverse dining landscape while maintaining its commitment to quality and inclusivity. The brand's dedication to serving both Singapore and Malaysia with halal-certified beverages and food demonstrates their understanding of the region's cultural and religious diversity, making premium coffee experiences accessible to all communities.
The extensive beverage menu showcases the brand's expertise in both coffee and tea craftsmanship, featuring their signature Ice Blended® drinks like the Ultimate Mocha and Salted Caramel varieties starting from $9.80, alongside carefully curated latte options including Vanilla Latte and Matcha Green Tea Latte from $8.90. Their tea selection spans seven distinct categories—Green, Black, Oolong, Herbal Infusion, Decaffeinated, Flavored, and Tea Master's—ensuring there's a perfect brew for every preference. Beyond beverages, their halal-certified food menu includes breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, cakes, and pastries, creating a comprehensive café experience that serves customers throughout the day.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's success in Singapore stems from their ability to provide a premium coffee house experience in a Muslim-friendly environment, filling a crucial niche in the local F&B market. Their strategic positioning in prime locations across shopping centers, business districts, and residential areas makes quality coffee and tea accessible to professionals, students, and families alike. The brand's consistency in maintaining halal standards while delivering international coffee shop quality has earned them a loyal customer base, positioning them as a trusted choice for both casual coffee meetings and special celebrations in Singapore's competitive café landscape.

Staff were not helpful when inquiring about the menus and promotions. It also felt like an offense to ask for condiments, as a staff member angrily pushed aside the package blocking the pepper tray and walked away.

Horrible experience! Never come, it was a nightmare. Both staff members were very reluctant to serve. We waited almost half an hour for drinks and ready-to-serve cake. We followed up a few times for our breakfast order, which eventually came 40 minutes later, and the food was burnt!

The staff seemed reluctant to serve. I said hello and politely asked about cup sizes, but she didn't reply to any of my questions. There was no mention of the total bill; I just waited for me to tap. She literally slid my coffee order across the counter.

It's nice that they are open 24/7, even on public holidays. However, even with no customers, my order was forgotten immediately after it was made! I had to remind them after waiting for 20 minutes. I'm not angry, but it was just a little strange that this could happen with three staff members available.

Came at about 9pm on a Sunday; the vibes were nice and it was less crowded. However, the aircon was so cold, the cakes were hard and dry, and the Swedish berries tea was tasteless (like coloured water).

The female staff is so friendly and nice! I asked her for a drink recommendation, and she replied patiently and recommended accordingly. (Ahahaha! I've been drinking so much Starbucks lately that I'm not sure what to get at Coffee Bean, but I'll be back!)

I'm a big fan of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, so this 4-star review is no surprise. My favorite is the Blackforest Ice Blended, but apparently, it's discontinued! One thing I like about this outlet is that it's perpetually quiet. Greenwich V isn't the most accessible place. The magazines on the rack for browsing are updated and in good condition. It's a great place for lunch, but everything here is calorie-packed!
