Customers are advised to check their salad ingredients. I ordered the Hearth Bowl, and it was served without the corn and King Oyster Mushrooms. I returned it, and the staff prepared a new plate. When she brought it back, she informed me they no longer had King Oyster Mushrooms. My question is, if I hadn't noticed and returned it, would I have paid the full amount and received only half of what I paid for without being informed? And if the staff knew they had insufficient ingredients, shouldn't there have been a replacement offered?

Terrible experience here at Soup Spoon. It's been more than a year since I've patronized this establishment, and I was reminded why I stopped going there. The bread bowl is HORRIBLE. Literally two mouthfuls of the bread and I couldn't eat any more. I gave my partner to try, and he agreed that it was so bad he told me not to eat it and that he'd bring me elsewhere to eat. The soup is good, no lie, but the bread really can't make it. It's so stale and tough, and seems like it was uncooked? I swear if I threw this at someone, it could be a weapon. I remember it used to be so good, then they changed it to some weird purple bread, and it just declined from there. Now it's not weird purple, but the texture is wrong and it's so thick! Like, I'm getting so little soup because the bread is so thick it makes me want to cry. PLEASE bring back the old, old bread! Moreover, the bread bowl isn't cheap; I think it's like $12 or something.

A decent place for wholesome, hearty food, especially when you're feeling under the weather. But don't kid yourself that it's healthy food, lol.
Personally, I'm more a fan of the creamy soups than the clear ones. The chicken soup tasted like something I could have made myself, but it was still good. I quite liked the beef goulash though.
Avoid the drinks; even if the hibiscus tea tastes exotic, it isn't anything special.
The sourdough carrot walnut cake was also interesting.
I'd say Soup Spoon is my kind of comfort food.

Came during tea time and was surprised to find a tea time promo! Muffin + drink for $5.50. There was also a $2 promo for the corn. The atmosphere was very nice. As there weren't many diners, my order was ready very quickly.

Tried the new laksa soup and was pleasantly surprised that it retained the authentic laksa taste while still having its own twist that made the soup light and palatable. The staff work hard to keep the store clean and serve each customer with a smile. Kudos to the team on September 5th!
