I was disappointed with my recent purchase as the vegetables were shredded thick instead of thin, which wasn’t what I expected. It was hard to see the original appearance of the dish before purchasing, and the texture didn’t meet my preference. Better transparency about the preparation style would have been appreciated.

The truffle mushroom risotto is shocking. The truffle fragrance is only for the nose; it has no taste. The salt is overpowering. The staff was apologetic and offered me an alternative, but I declined. The staff's effort was worth the extra stars.

The service standard needs to be improved. As a frequent user, I couldn't even log in to my membership, and the staff were unable to assist me with my order. There should be an alternative solution for staff to take orders if the machine is not working. The sandwich was cold and dry without any sauce. The soup, however, maintained good standards.

Nice place, nice marketing. But the onion soup was really beyond my imagination. The way they described it on the promo board made it sound delicious. I only tasted sweet and bitter. I will definitely not come again. They have free samplers, though. Maybe you should try them and see if they suit your taste.

A nice place for a quick dinner. The burrito roll and the bowl were quite satisfying. The nachos were good. The chocolate brownie was not good, but apart from that, all the food was great.

I am writing this review because their management seems to be pressuring all counter/outlet staff to encourage patrons to do so. However, I genuinely believe this lady, Priscilla, at the Changi City Point outlet deserves some praise. She is a fast and efficient worker, always remembering to be courteous and wear a smile when interacting with customers like me. Not many service staff in the F&B industry possess the verve, grace, and spirit that she does. I hope the company shows her some love and recognition to reward her efforts! Food-wise, I had their clam chowder, which was generously filled with chewy clam meat and potato chunks. I enjoyed the dash of salsa, which provided a contrasting heat and helped cut through the richness of the cream stew. In my opinion, their creamy soups contain too much pepper. I question this choice, as pepper can be added voluntarily by patrons as an optional condiment if they find their soups too bland. Some individuals cannot tolerate much pepper due to health concerns. Lastly, I appreciate that The Soup Spoon tries to bring value to its repeat customers through Shopee deals, in-app member coupons (though not as attractive as their Shopee deals due to minimum spend requirements), and soup samples. With such deals, I can enjoy a satisfying meal for around $10, or even slightly less, every now and then. Incidentally, I found it unusual that all the staff I encountered were either Indian or Malay – not a single Chinese or Caucasian staff member was visible after visiting their outlets at Bugis Junction, Paya Lebar, and Changi City Point.

I've been here 3 times for dinner. I love their grilled chicken sandwich and sriracha chicken flatbread. The clam chowder soup has lots of clams and small, cube-sized potatoes. Join their free membership for points and vouchers!
