Terrible service (to be fair, they seemed severely understaffed). They took an extremely long time to serve our food and even mixed up the orders of the table beside us. The cashier was juggling between dealing with online orders and taking orders from us, and as a result was really curt. I don’t really blame them, seeing as they are understaffed, but I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially since there are so many F&B outlets in Waterway Point.

Visited on a weekday afternoon. The ambience was quite good – quiet and chill. The service staff were patient and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and it arrived fresh, hot, and delicious. The spices for the Penne were a little off for my liking, though. So, I wouldn't order that next time.

It was one of the most disappointing meals. I had the grilled chicken burger with onion rings. The onion rings had clearly been fried again, and some of the fries were slightly undercooked. The grilled chicken patty was tasteless and very dry. Please bring back your old menu of just soup and sandwiches, like the other outlets.

Ordered peri peri chicken with mac and cheese and a half-boiled egg. The chicken tasted like it was reheated; the peri peri sauce was the only reason it was tolerable.

Initially, the quality of the salad was good. But now, if you order a salad, they are serving it haphazardly. I was charged $10 SGD for Asian tofu, Lebanese mix, and fusilli mix salad. However, I only received a few pieces of tofu, red rice, and some red beans, with no green ingredients on the plate, and it didn't look full. I guess they changed the chef/cook. I was a regular weekend customer, but I guess it's time to find a new salad place in the area.

Serendipity! We were there for Bali Thai and at the last minute, we decided to give this place a chance and totally loved it. It's located on level B1 in Waterway Point (Punggol). They offer quite an elaborate Western menu. We decided to order salads and were very impressed with the quality and taste. Even the portion was generous and quite satisfying. The price is quite reasonable; we paid around $10-11 per head for the salads. They have a self-service concept. First, you order from the kiosk and then collect your food later. Overall, the experience was good, and we will visit again to explore other dishes. Proud to be a foodie, happy eating everyone!

A quiet eatery/cafe in the afternoon. They serve a wide variety of food, mostly Western and Asian fusion. Here, you can enjoy Soup Spoon's wide selection of other ventures all under one roof. Great for kids, as this branch previously had the license to create a Cartoon Network themed cafe. All the CN characters are still decorated in the cafe. I especially love their blue cheese slider burger – a fantastic combination of flavours. Soup Spoon's selection of soups are always comfort food for me. For below $15 SGD, you can have a sampler set of soup, salad, and burger, all in petit sizes. However, it is rather filling and great in variety. A lovely cafe if you are tired of other crowded selections in this mall. Rather healthier too.

16/12/17: Second review: We were warmly welcomed by one of the female staff, whose name I unfortunately forgot to ask. I mentioned our previous bad experience and how we had boycotted this outlet. She suggested we should provide feedback on the spot. So, we decided to give them another chance after their revamp. We were definitely impressed by her service; she was very prompt and attentive. We visited after dinner and tried their desserts. I would say the milkshake was pretty good, but not the soda. My daughter found the cake to be quite normal. However, the presentation of the drinks and desserts was the WOW factor and certainly suitable for Instagram – eye-catching! But it's quite expensive for a soda with cotton candy at $10.90.
First review: This place charges a 5% service charge yet provides none. First, I requested two small bowls at the cashier counter for the kids' soup, and they gave me a bowl with leftover tuna in it. The soup tasted like glue. Next, we ordered four other dishes, but the runner just threw them on the table without serving them to us. When our two plates of steak were served, I asked the runner which was medium-well and which was well-done. He said he didn't know and just walked away. The salmon fish was also not fully cooked; the inside was raw. So much for the service provided by them!

Decent food, decent variety, and decent service. I like this place a lot during non-peak hours. However, service quality and speed degrade rapidly. I guess it's likely because they offer too many different items, which makes ordering and processing slow. Otherwise, it's no different than other Soup Spoon unions. A good place to go when you can't decide or agree on what to eat.

Soup Spoon & Union is really my favorite place for western-style soups overall. It may not be the cheapest, but it's always far worth the money compared to trashy fast food. That and it's always good for when I am down with the flu or feeling generally sick. Their Teriyaki sandwich is also a favorite of mine. It's just so delicious! Give that a try. You might love it too.
