Powerful chilli, but it requires an additional 50 cents if you ask for more. The Penyet is nice and popular, with a long queue during meal times. The Ayam is freshly fried from the hot oil pot too.

Dishonest and Rude Seller – Avoid! I asked for the price of my food twice, and both times was told $8.80. After paying via GrabPay, the sellers (a man and a lady) suddenly realised it was only $8. When I requested a refund to correct the payment, they refused and instead offered me a packet of chilli, dismissively waving me off with their hands. I insisted on my refund in coins, but they only gave back 50 cents, claiming the chilli was now worth 30 cents, without my agreement. When I returned the chilli and demanded my full 80 cents, they reluctantly complied, again waving me off in a dismissive manner. This kind of dishonest practice and poor customer service is unacceptable. Beware of this stall and double-check your payments!

I love the soto there and have been a regular customer. Unfortunately, recently I came in the morning and was turned away because they said they had too many online orders to serve me. This has happened more than once. As a result, I've started choosing the makcik soto opposite instead. Need to change your attitude, especially towards customers who come in person.

The picture shows tauhu and tempe for nasi ayam penyet, but in reality, there's only chicken, rice, and two cucumber slices. The seller was also very rude. Not recommended.

Had their black pepper chicken rice for the first time. Honestly, my first impression was the big serving of chicken for a $7.50 price. For a one-person meal, I couldn't finish it. Recommend this stall.

The boneless Ayam penyet was so yummy. The sambal wasn't that spicy, and the soup was superb. However, there was no tempeh and tofu on the menu.

Came by for lunch and joined the queue, but the service was pretty fast. Ordered Nasi Ayam Belado @ $7.50. It came with a nice drumstick with green chilli sauce, a bowl of soup, a slice of cucumber, and lettuce. The rice is fragrant and tastes pretty good. The soup is good but a little salty for my liking. The green chilli sauce is definitely very tasty, not salty, but I wish it could have been a little more spicy. The chicken is well-marinated; the outer part is crispy, but some parts don't taste as juicy as I would have thought. Will be back another time to check out other dishes.

Do you like to try some flattened chicken (ayam penyat)? This place is a yum. The chicken is flavorful, tender, and fried to perfection. The rice carries a hint of chicken rice flavor and aroma. But put some chili on that rice and chicken, and your mouth will be exploding with a mixture of flavors. If fried chicken isn't your preference, worry not! They also have mee soto at this outlet. Before digging into the noodles and chicken, I had to try their broth. That soup hit the right spot in my stomach and filled the emptiness of my soul. It had just the right flavor. Trying out their other offerings at different outlets is just a matter of time.

Ordered Nasi Ayam sambal. The drumstick was tender and juicy. The sambal was solid and powerful. Just that the rice was on the soft side, perhaps too much water was added? Otherwise, it would have been a 5-star rating. Great food!
