Ordered a medium ribeye steak, but it was served well-done. The staff kindly arranged for a replacement, but it also came well-done. The coleslaw tasted terrible as well. The kitchen cooks definitely need training. This was my first time here, and I'm disappointed.

Not a fan. Their food is just average, not so good but not so bad either. The price is a bit high and not worth it. I feel like you can get something similar for a lower price at hawker centres or food courts, and the quality could be better too. However, I did like the steak; I had it medium-well. The rest were just fine.

My recent visit to 18 Chefs at Downtown East was an unmitigated disaster solely due to the appalling service we received. I am utterly appalled and, frankly, quite angry about the experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that basic customer service was a foreign concept to the staff, particularly our server, Sabrina. Her demeanor was shockingly rude and dismissive. There was no warmth, no politeness, just an air of complete disinterest bordering on contempt. Simple requests were met with an audible sigh or a roll of the eyes, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than paying customers. It's astonishing that someone with such a blatant lack of people skills is employed in the hospitality industry. Sabrina demonstrated absolutely none of the fundamental qualities required for a customer-facing role – no patience, no helpfulness, and certainly no hint of a welcoming attitude. Her presence actively detracted from any enjoyment we might have derived from the meal. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at 18 Chefs Downtown East to think twice, especially if Sabrina is on duty. Her complete unsuitability for the hospitality line is glaringly obvious, and she single-handedly ruined our dining experience. Not recommended at all. Save your money and your sanity and go elsewhere.

Ordered striploin steak with mushroom sauce and baked rice. The food came as pictured in my photo, not the menu photo. I expected a proper steak on top of the baked rice, but it came as chunks of meat. I checked with the waitress, who said it was supposed to be like that. I told her it couldn't be, as the pieces of meat didn't look like steak. She made a 'tsk' sound and angrily took the food back to the kitchen. When it returned, it was the same. Oh well. I won't be coming here again to spend $13.90 on a kid's meal baked rice topped with bits of meat marketed as striploin steak. The waitress, a tall and lanky Muslim lady wearing a tudung, provided very poor service.

I got the set lunch here and had the salmon with spaghetti set. The set included a choice of either salad or garlic toast. I chose the garlic toast because my salmon plate already came with a bowl of salad. Unfortunately, the garlic toast was a disappointment; the toast was hard, like it was days old, and the garlic spread was applied thinly. My coworkers had the fish and chips, carbonara, and truffle fusilli. Their food was average. We did enjoy the ice lemon tea, and I loved that they offer free-flow parmesan cheese.
