I ordered a BYOD with beef cubes, and they seemed cooked on the outside but were completely raw inside. This was the case for 3 out of 5 of the beef cubes I received, while the other 2 were medium rare. Furthermore, although we ordered drinks, they were not served with the meal until I asked for them. I had a hard time getting the waiters' attention, and they didn't seem to notice people raising their hands for assistance, not just me but several other individuals. They finally came after 10 minutes but didn't return with our drinks. Hence, only after 20 minutes did one waiter finally bring us our beverages. In addition, it wasn't that crowded at the time. Other than that, the food was good, and I wish the staff could be more aware of customers trying to get their attention.

There's too much minimum spend and the reward eligibility isn't applicable. Secondly, the menu is oddly confusing. Different images in the menu show fish and chips with different pricing. I ordered the breaded fish and chips (forgot to take a photo). The lunch menu was $12.90. While it is more worth it to order the set menu which comes with lemon tea and soup of the day, the lemon tea was actually quite tasteless, and how is it a C food grade? The fish was terrible. Too much batter with only a thin slice of meat. I felt hungry again in a couple of hours. There wasn’t much service, and I wonder why I even paid for GST. The menu is self-order, food is delivered, and other items like sauces are self-help. Payment is done via QR code. I'm never coming back here again. Did I also mention how bad the seating arrangements were? Tight spaces, tables not properly spaced out or organized. Waitresses were delivering food to the wrong tables. Dine date was on Christmas Eve 2024 at 1:30 PM.

I added Grilled Chicken for about $1-$2 extra, but it was worth it compared to the free basic options like sausage. The Student Meal also comes with complimentary drinks (I chose Ice Lemon Tea) and Soup of the Day (corn soup); everything was very nice. I came here because a long time ago I went to Eighteen Chefs at The Star Vista, but it eventually closed down. Suddenly craving Eighteen Chefs, I found out it had reopened and relocated, but still at The Star Vista.

I had a church community outing followed by lunch there. The food was yummy and the portions were generous. Staff, especially Ivy, was very helpful even though the restaurant was very busy. Good pricing for the 3-course meal with drinks included. Highly recommended.
