Kenny Rogers Roasters stands as a beloved American-style casual dining restaurant chain that has made its mark in Singapore with halal-certified rotisserie chicken as its signature offering. Known for its unique slow-roasting method, Kenny Rogers marinated fresh chickens with a special blend of citrus, herbs, and spices before slowly turning them over a rotisserie fire, allowing fat to escape while sealing in the distinctive roasted flavor that sets it apart from conventional fried chicken.

The restaurant offers a comprehensive menu featuring their famous rotisserie chicken alongside BBQ ribs that are tender and fall-off-the-bone, smothered in savory barbecue sauce. Additional offerings include the innovative OMG (Outrageous Mouthwatering Guiltless) Chicken cooked with a combi oven for crispy texture without frying, plus homemade muffins, jacket potatoes, vegetable salads, pastas, soups, and refreshing beverages. Popular combo meals include quarter rotisserie chicken served with mac and cheese and corn muffin.

With four convenient locations across Singapore including The Clementi Mall, Downtown East E!Avenue, Sengkang Grand Mall, and Marina Square, Kenny Rogers Roasters provides accessible halal dining with meals averaging under 0. Operating hours from 11am to 9:30pm daily ensure flexibility for lunch and dinner, making it a reliable choice for families seeking quality rotisserie chicken in a comfortable dining environment.

313 @ Somerset Food Republic is currently revamping the food court and open partially with new food

The Food Republic at 313 @ Somerset is currently revamping its food court and is partially open with new food concepts. As I was craving Nasi Lemak, I noticed Kenny Rogers Roasters Express was selling it and had an opening promotion at $12.90. At the time of ordering, a staff member was using their mobile phone for quite some time and didn't notice that several customers were waiting to order. Some customers left due to the staff's inattentiveness. Finally, a female staff member came and served the customers, including myself. Did you know you can also use the BreadTalk app? Since it's under Food Republic! The female staff member was quite friendly and gave me a buzzer to collect the food. The dining tables and utensils were slightly dirty and needed cleaning before use. I waited about 10 minutes, the buzzer went off, and the food was ready for collection. They served it with brown rice, but unfortunately, the rice was cold, not even warm. However, the fried chicken was crispy and yummy. It also included Kenny Rogers Roasters' signature corn muffin! 😋 Overall, the food is not bad, but they can improve the customer experience and be more attentive.

We went in with high expectations, hoping to introduce my kids to what we used to enjoy as teens. I was hoping it would be as good as those good old days, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. First, we queued to order, then proceeded to our table. Just because two waiters were there to bring the food, diners had to pay a service charge! However, the service wasn't complete. We had to get our own cutlery and chilli as the servers weren't very attentive and seemed short-handed. That's not service that warrants a service charge. Some fast food outlets provide better service with no charge. The quality and quantity of food were disappointing too. They must have reduced the servings as the food looked rather miserable on the big plate. It could do with better presentation. We only enjoyed the corn muffin, which was truly very nice. The coleslaw was too watery, and even the boiled broccoli wasn't cooked properly. If you leave a good review, you get free ice cream or muffins. Shape up and bring back the old good Kenny Rogers.

The food was disgusting. I ordered the Kenny's Quarter meal and the food was inedible, to say the least. The chicken was very dry and way too salty. The macaroni was somewhat edible, but the mashed potato was downright inedible. It was extremely dry, the worst I've tasted in my life. The standard of the food at Kenny Rogers Express at this outlet is downright horrible. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointing and absolutely appalling the taste of the chicken and mashed potato were. Kenny Rogers @313, please increase your standards if you do not want to go out of business.

Once considered the best chicken, I can’t say the same now. We arrived at 8pm, were seated immediately, and the food was served quickly. However, the chicken was cold, the mac and cheese were hard, and the sautéed vegetables were undercooked. More importantly, at least to me, the muffin is now half the size. There was only one service staff on the floor, and she seemed overwhelmed. I had to go to the cashier to request chili sauce. The air conditioning appeared to be malfunctioning, as the place felt stuffy.

I ordered a quarter chicken and was asked for an additional $1 because they only had the thigh part left – during lunch hours. I asked the staff why and what the difference was. He said the thigh part is bigger. I felt scammed; Kenny Rogers shouldn't charge customers extra for a "bigger" part of chicken. Look at their "big" thigh part chicken portion.

★ Kenny Rogers Roasters’ All-You-Can-Eat a la carte buffet is S$28.90++/per pax for 60-min on Mondays to Fridays. ★ Top up S$5 for unlimited free-flow desserts and S$3 for unlimited cooling drinks. ★ Available at all Kenny Rogers Roasters outlets islandwide! ★ Halal-certified The a la carte buffet includes a spread of Rotisserie-Roasted ¼ Chicken (in either Brown Sauce or Black Pepper Sauce), Crispy Golden Chicken, soup, 13 sides including their signature Corn Muffin, Mac & Cheese, Onion Rings, Salad, Nasi Lemak Rice, as well as Soft Drinks. Their slow-roasted chicken is still juicy and tender, which I enjoyed a lot. Service is pretty fast, thankfully, as I feel 60 minutes is a little short for a slow eater like me.

After years away, Kenny Rogers Roasters makes a return—this time as an express concept nested within the bustling food court of 313@Somerset. Naturally, curiosity (and a dash of nostalgia) drew me in for a revisit. The chicken still forms the heart of their offering. Visually, the golden-browned birds turning in the oven looked promising. I ordered the classic quarter chicken meal, which came with onion rings, mixed vegetables, their signature corn muffin, and a splash of bright red sauce on the side. The chicken was adequately tender and mildly seasoned. It didn’t blow me away in terms of flavour depth, but it retained enough juiciness to be satisfying. The onion rings were crispy, though standard fare. The corn muffin brought back some memories—a touch of sweetness and crumbly texture, though noticeably smaller than I recall. The mixed vegetables were lightly sautéed but leaned a bit too much on the softer side. What stood out most wasn’t the taste—it was the portion. Everything felt significantly scaled down compared to the Kenny Rogers of the past. While the express format may justify a more compact offering, it does leave one nostalgic for the more generous servings of yesteryear. That said, the air-conditioned setting and casual vibe make it a comfortable stop for a quick and fuss-free meal in town. Just don’t walk in expecting the full-service Kenny Rogers of old. Verdict: A nostalgic revisit that delivers a decent meal, but the downsized portions and milder flavours mean it may not recapture the magic for everyone.

The chicken was quite tender and the overall taste was good. The current promo of a $1 hot latte is very worth it. Great service from the staff serving the tables, though it wasn't very crowded on a Wednesday dinner timing. Recommended place for affordable roast chicken.
