The a la carte buffet includes a spread of Rotisserie-Roasted ¼ Chicken (in either Brown Sauce or Black Pepper Sauce), Crispy Golden Chicken, soup, 13 sides including their signature Corn Muffin, Mac & Cheese, Onion Rings, Salad, Nasi Lemak Rice, as well as Soft Drinks.
Their slow-roasted chicken is still juicy and tender, which I enjoyed a lot. Service is pretty fast, thankfully, as I feel 60 minutes is a little short for a slow eater like me.

Kenny Rogers always tastes nostalgic to me. The chicken is yummy, and the corn muffin is my favourite! ❤️ I hope they can continue to operate smoothly. (Photo missing onion rings which came later) The staff are also very kind and attentive!

After years away, Kenny Rogers Roasters makes a return—this time as an express concept nested within the bustling food court of 313@Somerset. Naturally, curiosity (and a dash of nostalgia) drew me in for a revisit.
The chicken still forms the heart of their offering. Visually, the golden-browned birds turning in the oven looked promising. I ordered the classic quarter chicken meal, which came with onion rings, mixed vegetables, their signature corn muffin, and a splash of bright red sauce on the side.
The chicken was adequately tender and mildly seasoned. It didn’t blow me away in terms of flavour depth, but it retained enough juiciness to be satisfying. The onion rings were crispy, though standard fare. The corn muffin brought back some memories—a touch of sweetness and crumbly texture, though noticeably smaller than I recall. The mixed vegetables were lightly sautéed but leaned a bit too much on the softer side.
What stood out most wasn’t the taste—it was the portion. Everything felt significantly scaled down compared to the Kenny Rogers of the past. While the express format may justify a more compact offering, it does leave one nostalgic for the more generous servings of yesteryear.
That said, the air-conditioned setting and casual vibe make it a comfortable stop for a quick and fuss-free meal in town. Just don’t walk in expecting the full-service Kenny Rogers of old.
Verdict: A nostalgic revisit that delivers a decent meal, but the downsized portions and milder flavours mean it may not recapture the magic for everyone.

The chicken was quite tender and the overall taste was good. The current promo of a $1 hot latte is very worth it. Great service from the staff serving the tables, though it wasn't very crowded on a Wednesday dinner timing. Recommended place for affordable roast chicken.
