We went in with high expectations, hoping to introduce my kids to what we used to enjoy as teens. I was hoping it would be as good as those good old days, but unfortunately, we left disappointed.
First, we queued to order, then proceeded to our table. Just because two waiters were there to bring the food, diners had to pay a service charge! However, the service wasn't complete. We had to get our own cutlery and chilli as the servers weren't very attentive and seemed short-handed. That's not service that warrants a service charge. Some fast food outlets provide better service with no charge.
The quality and quantity of food were disappointing too. They must have reduced the servings as the food looked rather miserable on the big plate. It could do with better presentation. We only enjoyed the corn muffin, which was truly very nice. The coleslaw was too watery, and even the boiled broccoli wasn't cooked properly. If you leave a good review, you get free ice cream or muffins.
Shape up and bring back the old good Kenny Rogers.

30 June: The staff taking my order did not highlight or recommend the Super Value Set Lunch, which comes with soup and a drink. I only found out about it after my order was placed. When I asked, the staff simply smiled and confirmed the set included soup and a drink. When my order arrived, no cutlery was provided, and I had to go ask for it. The food was okay, but the macaroni in the macaroni and cheese was a little undercooked. Service could definitely be improved to make the experience more enjoyable.

Very disappointed with the mac & cheese and mashed potato. The pasta was in lumps and the cheese was jelly-like. The mashed potato was overcooked, with some of the potatoes burned at the bottom. The texture was rough, like eating solid food. I suspect they used a microwave to heat them up.
Lastly, I believe many of the reviews may not be genuine. They offer free drinks or other incentives for good reviews. I refuse to give them a good review as their standards have dropped.

However, the portions are all small. It's an alright place to eat at. The environment seems rather new and clean.

The a la carte buffet includes a spread of Rotisserie-Roasted ¼ Chicken (in either Brown Sauce or Black Pepper Sauce), Crispy Golden Chicken, soup, 13 sides including their signature Corn Muffin, Mac & Cheese, Onion Rings, Salad, Nasi Lemak Rice, as well as Soft Drinks.
Their slow-roasted chicken is still juicy and tender, which I enjoyed a lot. Service is pretty fast, thankfully, as I feel 60 minutes is a little short for a slow eater like me.
