Nando's Singapore brings the globally renowned South African-Portuguese peri-peri chicken concept to the Lion City with multiple halal-certified outlets strategically located across prime shopping destinations. The brand is built around its signature flame-grilled chicken, marinated for 24 hours in a special blend of African bird's eye chili peri-peri sauce and flame-grilled to order in various heat levels ranging from plain to extra hot. This halal-certified restaurant chain has successfully established itself as a premium casual dining destination, attracting over 10,000 followers on social media and maintaining a strong online ordering presence that demonstrates its popularity among Singapore's diverse dining community.
The restaurant's menu centers on butterfly-cut chicken marinated in peri-peri chili peppers, complemented by a range of sides, salads, wraps, and sandwiches that showcase the distinctive Portuguese-African fusion cuisine. Each piece of chicken is flame-grilled fresh to order, ensuring consistent quality and allowing diners to customize their spice preference. The peri-peri sauce, made from African bird's eye chili, provides a unique flavor profile that distinguishes Nando's from other chicken restaurant chains, while the halal certification ensures accessibility to Muslim diners seeking quality poultry prepared according to Islamic dietary guidelines.
With locations at Bugis Junction, Jurong Point, Plaza Singapura, Tampines Mall, Tanglin Mall, and The Star Vista, Nando's has established comprehensive coverage across Singapore's major shopping districts and residential areas. The brand's success in Singapore reflects the growing demand for international halal cuisine that maintains authenticity while adapting to local tastes and dietary requirements. Nando's Singapore continues to represent how global restaurant concepts can successfully integrate into local food cultures while maintaining their distinctive identity and halal compliance, making Portuguese-African flavors accessible to Singapore's multicultural dining landscape.

Oh dear, not a great experience. The service at night is atrocious. They don't serve you and keep you waiting by the door, even though there are clearly tables available.
They seem to be understaffed, as the one cleaning the tables also seemed to be the one dealing with customers. This particular staff member did not seem to understand the meaning of haste; perhaps she was accustomed to other forms of cleaning, or perhaps it was a lack of training or desire to keep her job. Either way, very poor service.
Ordered the boneless thigh with 3 pots of perinaise sauce, along with wedges and chips. The chips were cold. The thighs were okay, and the wedges were okay. The 3 pots of sauce were actually only 2.1 pots (see attached picture). They just don't care about service.
Overall, only go here if you can't have Nando's in your home country, and even then, it's a stretch.

Nando's Bugis Junction – Where Chickens Go on a Diet Before Serving
We went to Nando's at Bugis Junction with stomachs rumbling and expectations high, hoping for a hearty, soul-warming meal. After all, when you're forking out $16.30 for boneless chicken thighs, you'd expect at least... a decent amount of chicken. Right?
What arrived at the table looked like something you'd find hiding behind the lettuce in a sad school lunchbox. The so-called "chicken thighs" could've passed for chicken thoughts—small, fleeting, and barely there. Blink and you might miss them. Or maybe that was the point: a culinary magic trick. Now you see it, now you're still hungry.
Let's be clear. For $16.30, I wasn't expecting a whole farmyard experience, but I also wasn't expecting appetizers for ants. Honestly, I've had more meat fall off a KFC drumstick I dropped on the floor.
The photos speak for themselves, but just to paint the picture: imagine paying steakhouse prices and receiving a snack-sized portion that would leave even a toddler asking, "Is that all?" At this point, I'd have had a more fulfilling experience (emotionally and nutritionally) at a fast food chain—and still walked away with change for dessert.
In conclusion: if you're looking to pay premium prices for portion sizes that would make a hamster complain, Nando's Bugis Junction is your spot. Otherwise, save your dollars and your dignity. You deserve a meal, not a mystery.

Nando's never lets you down. It's been my favourite for the last 25 years ever since I treated myself to Peri Peri Flamed Grilled Chicken in Southern Africa.
This time too at Bugis, it was the same story. The food was great as always. I ordered the Pita Wrap. The chicken was tender and juicy. The Peri Peri chips were amazing.
Service was okay, and the restaurant was packed as usual for lunch. Perhaps a larger outlet would be nicer.
Overall, it's the food that brings people in, and the quality is maintained consistently everywhere.

The butterfly chicken with extra hot sauce is always my go-to. The chicken portions are always super big, and the sauce covers it well. It's also juicy and well-seasoned.
For sides, I'd recommend the wedges, as they've never disappointed me. They are nicely fried with ample salt and pepper.
Next up, I really enjoy the Mediterranean rice. There's something about the soft and sticky rice mixed with vegetables that pairs well with the chicken.
Drink options are free flow.

The three of us shared the two-piece thigh meal and the meal for two. The chicken and all the sides tasted good. The meal for two came with two free-flow drinks, so we had to pay extra for another drink.
The staff were friendly and provided pretty fast service.
