Nando's Singapore brings the globally renowned South African-Portuguese peri-peri chicken concept to the Lion City with multiple halal-certified outlets strategically located across prime shopping destinations. The brand is built around its signature flame-grilled chicken, marinated for 24 hours in a special blend of African bird's eye chili peri-peri sauce and flame-grilled to order in various heat levels ranging from plain to extra hot. This halal-certified restaurant chain has successfully established itself as a premium casual dining destination, attracting over 10,000 followers on social media and maintaining a strong online ordering presence that demonstrates its popularity among Singapore's diverse dining community.
The restaurant's menu centers on butterfly-cut chicken marinated in peri-peri chili peppers, complemented by a range of sides, salads, wraps, and sandwiches that showcase the distinctive Portuguese-African fusion cuisine. Each piece of chicken is flame-grilled fresh to order, ensuring consistent quality and allowing diners to customize their spice preference. The peri-peri sauce, made from African bird's eye chili, provides a unique flavor profile that distinguishes Nando's from other chicken restaurant chains, while the halal certification ensures accessibility to Muslim diners seeking quality poultry prepared according to Islamic dietary guidelines.
With locations at Bugis Junction, Jurong Point, Plaza Singapura, Tampines Mall, Tanglin Mall, and The Star Vista, Nando's has established comprehensive coverage across Singapore's major shopping districts and residential areas. The brand's success in Singapore reflects the growing demand for international halal cuisine that maintains authenticity while adapting to local tastes and dietary requirements. Nando's Singapore continues to represent how global restaurant concepts can successfully integrate into local food cultures while maintaining their distinctive identity and halal compliance, making Portuguese-African flavors accessible to Singapore's multicultural dining landscape.

Located on the 4th floor of Plaza Singapura, this dining establishment has been a frequent choice for me over the years. The chicken size can vary, sometimes being larger and other times smaller. Taste-wise, the chicken remains juicy, including the white meat. However, the flavour itself is not particularly distinctive, though the sauce can add to it. The ordering process utilizes a QR code. I find the prices to be somewhat high given the quality. The lack of a service charge might explain the occasional inadequate service. The rice is flavorful, whereas the chips tend to be dry. As I usually stick to a few favourite dishes, my experience with other menu items is limited. The pitas are decent but can sometimes be overly thin and small. The soup can be too spicy; sometimes, it's tolerable. To avoid crowds, it is recommended to dine during less busy hours. Overall, the experience is satisfactory.

I have fond memories of Nando's from many years ago before I left Singapore; the food was good back then. My fiancée and I chanced upon the outlet at Plaza Singapura, and she also has had good experiences at Nando's before, so we decided to give it another try.
We ordered the 1/4 Chicken with 2 sides (Chargrill veg, Caesar salad), added-on the soup, Cheese Pita, Peri-Honey Yuzu Wings x4, and a Lemon Cooler. The pita, soup, and cooler arrived promptly. From their appearance, they weren't very appetizing. We suspected the soup came out of a can, and the pita was rather flat with the cheese barely visible. The wings arrived, and they were tiny. During our dinner, another patron went to the kitchen with the wings and correctly pointed out that they looked more like drumlettes than wings. The main dish was respectable and tasted alright.
We were seated near the kitchen area, and as the crowd built up, we noticed plates of food sitting on the kitchen counter, filling it up. Apparently, there was some confusion as to which plate went to which table. Perhaps the wait staff is new, and I certainly hope so.
It wasn't a great dinner experience, then again, it's more like a fast-food place. Well, I guess we'll have to adjust our previous impression of Nando's from here on.

Went down to try for the first time! The food was good, but I don't feel like it's worth it. The chicken wings were so tiny, and it's $13+ for the whole plate. Two boneless chicken pieces were also super small, so I wouldn't recommend coming if you were hungry! The service was friendly though!

Sweet potato fries are amazing when served hot. The chicken is good as always, although portion sizes seem to vary across outlets. The Mac and Cheese was served cold, which was disappointing!

Came for lunch here today, by myself.
Could someone explain something to me? My meal arrived, but no cutlery was provided. The waitress twice told me I had to get it myself. However, I noticed that for other tables, the waitresses came and provided them with cutlery.
Another thing was, a waitress came and told me to put the sauce bottle back on the rack, without me even asking. Yet, other tables were clearly allowed to leave their bottles on their tables and go.
So, I found this to be an annoying experience.

Reminder note to self: the rice provided in the sets is not the yellow rice you crave.

Delicious and juicy chicken with their special peri peri sauce. Our favorite sides are the chips and coleslaw. It does get crowded during lunch hours, so we always come earlier when possible.

Food came quite quickly after we ordered. The fried chicken, buns, and rice were yummy and good.
However, as a pasta girlie, this mac and cheese was not it… I've had better ones at a convenience store. It was overcooked and tasted bland.

Nando's Review: Consistent Quality Comes at a Price
As usual, my visit to Nando's was a familiar and satisfying experience. Having been a patron countless times, I can confidently say that the quality of their food remains consistently high. The signature Peri-Peri chicken, with its customizable spice levels, never fails to deliver on flavor and tenderness. Whether you opt for the classic quarter chicken or one of their wraps or burgers, you can generally expect a well-prepared and tasty meal.
However, the consistent quality does come with a caveat: the bill tends to be a bit on the expensive side for what is essentially a casual dining experience. While the food is undoubtedly good, the cost can add up, especially for larger groups or when adding sides and drinks.
Despite the slightly higher price point, the reliable taste and the familiar Nando's ambiance keep me coming back. It's a trade-off I'm often willing to make for a guaranteed delicious meal, even if it means a slightly lighter wallet afterwards. If you prioritize consistent food quality and are prepared for a moderately priced bill, Nando's remains a solid choice.
