Portion sizes weren't the best. I had the chicken set and was only given a few pieces of chicken, which was quite shocking. The side of kimchi was also too little for the meal. The grill was hot though, allowing you to cook the meat to your own liking. The meal for 3 cost over $90; honestly, there are better options out there for grilled meats. Service was quite slow, and we had to wait a while even though there were empty tables. Definitely not their best outlet.

I also agree with the rest of the reviews here. Firstly, there is a CNY surcharge of 7% on the 5th day of CNY (not a public holiday). Secondly, the food portion is so little compared to the photo. There is also no indication of the food's weight. Thirdly, they served us a cup of ice (only) and told us it was in case our food was on fire? The service is just so-so. When we were making payment using our Citibank card, we were supposed to be given a $5 return voucher, but the cashier couldn't find it at first and acted clueless. So I asked for it, and they looked for it for a while.

The food is decent. Service is very basic, with one order leading to one action. For the chicken meat, I suggest not cutting it into such small slices because the grill holes are quite big.

I agree with other reviewers that the meats are not as thick. However, if you eat at places with thicker cuts, you will naturally pay more, possibly double the price. With the high GST and service charges, you will easily spend $50 and above here. We ordered 1 shokudo full beef set, 1 yakiniku beef set, and 1 drink. The total damage was $59.59. It was filling enough but not quite satisfying.

First time visit and not much crowd on weekdays for lunch. The set lunch or à la carte options are cheap. For example, chicken is around $3ish per plate, and lamb chop is $9.90 each. Of course, don't expect very large portions. The food itself is fresh enough. I liked the BBQ experience as it wasn't smoky at all. The place is hygienic and clean. Most importantly, there was no lingering smell after eating there. The servers were efficient, fast, and nice, I would say. Enjoyed my lunch!
