Came here during lunchtime, the queue was a bit long, so the waiting time was about 20-30 minutes.
I ordered the Chicken Cha Shu Tomyam Ramen with a side of edamame and hot houji tea.
The food arrived at a warm temperature; the ramen was not hot, just warm, and had a layer of oil on top, suggesting it might have been heated in a microwave.
The taste was just okay. Would I repeat it? Probably not.

Genuinely the worst food place I've been to. I really wish the zero-star button was real.
1. $40 for 10 pieces of chicken, 5 dumplings, beef rice, chili, and a $6 service charge.
2. The grill was so dirty. Oh my god.
3. The portions were so small.
4. The chicken was so hard and tough, tougher than my teacher's.
5. $6 for service charge and GST, not to mention the service is horrible.
6. The chicken took so long to cook (20 minutes).
DON'T COME HERE. SAVE $40.

HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED
Went to this outlet. When I arrived, there was only one table of four who were about to finish their meal. I was seated by the host and placed my order. When the food was served, they, without giving any reason, forced me to change tables. I ordered a set with a hot tea, and throughout my meal, the staff did not even serve my drink. When I was making the payment, I told the female staff that I was not paying for the drink as it was not served, and she actually suggested serving it then. Wow. I spent over 20 minutes at the restaurant, during which I was the only person there, and I was still not served properly.

I'm can't believe what's the Reviews said, is really makes me feel very hot,( Angry 😡)? My daughter
I can't believe what the reviews said; it really makes me feel very hot (angry )! My daughter went there for dinner and saw what she could order. Suddenly, she ordered her favorite BBQ and hotdog. But the staff suddenly yelled at her, saying, "I told you already, there's no BBQ. Why do you still want it?" . Please, put up a notice board so all customers can see. There's no need to be impatient with customers! No wonder I saw the reviews; they really let customers down. I asked my daughter why she didn't call the manager out to let the staff yell at her in front of everyone. . I hope the manager understands what I'm writing! Did you all think it's okay to yell at customers?

Got the chicken char siu lunch set. The portion size is small, and the taste is below average. The total cost adds up to $15 (with GST and service charge). Not worth coming, especially given the number of Japanese restaurants nearby. Service is good and fast, but not enough to redeem the terrible food.

If you evaluate Yakiniku Shokudo by 2010s' standards, it would be a great restaurant. But by today's standards, in the context of its competitors, it is just okay.
Some points of personal taste to consider: the meats are sliced slightly thicker than average, and there are only three sauces available (but if you really like one of these sauces, then good for you!).
A minor issue: a small portion of the rice served was dry and hard. I would guess this is because they pre-portioned it way beforehand, so it had time to dry on their counters.
