Missing Miso Soup from Takeaway Order (Order No: 4134) Dear Yoshinoya Bugis Junction Team, I am writing regarding my takeaway order (Order No: 4134) placed on 11 September 2025 at 1:00 PM. I ordered two Gyudon meals, which should have come with miso soup. However, upon checking my takeaway package, the miso soups were missing. In the past, whenever I ordered the same set for takeaway, the miso soup was always included. This appears to have been an oversight in my recent order. I kindly request that you look into this matter and advise how I can receive a replacement or appropriate compensation for the missing items. Additionally, two employees refused my request in an unprofessional and unfriendly manner.

The food quality has noticeably declined since the branch's renovation. The curry set comes with a salad but no soup. Instead of fresh leaves, they threw in the cabbage core, making up a large portion of the unappealing salad. The chicken breast had an unnaturally tender texture. I will not visit again. A set meal like this costs $18.

The food is great, I loved my meal - one large egg beef bowl and one regular cheese beef bowl. The beef was soft and well-seasoned in their tasty sauce, along with the soft onions and Japanese rice. The portions were very filling and worth the price; it also comes with soup. I would say that the regular size is good for one person, and the large might be too much rice. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was average, quite cramped and stuffy.

A delightful spot for gyudon (beef bowls) at Bugis Junction basement. I love that they maintain their standards and affordable prices in a nice air-conditioned environment, which is pleasant during off-peak hours. *Note to management: some sofas need reupholstering. I usually get the beef bowl (Regular) from $6.50 (Regular size) or top up with an onsen egg. Sets are an additional $4.90 for a drink and a side dish like karaage (fried chicken) or salad. They now have a much bigger menu and more selections besides beef bowls. I love the self-service condiments, especially the fresh pickled ginger. Staff are mostly courteous; some are friendly and appreciative too. Keep it up. Definitely my choice for a quick beef bowl craving fix. Update** When the ops manager replies to every review in great detail, this establishment warrants a 5-star upgrade ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Their double beef gyodon is nice and flavourful. Similar standard with yoshinoya in other countries.

Their double beef gyudon is nice and flavourful, comparable to Yoshinoya in other countries. The service is relatively fast, especially considering I visited during peak lunch hours on a Sunday when the place was packed. However, the atmosphere isn't great. They've squeezed in as many tables as possible to maximize space, making it uncomfortable. I ate my food with constant concern that my elbow would hit a customer at the next table.

June 2023: Avoid the cheese beef bowl; the cheese is hardened gunk. The queue wasn't long, but you'll have to wait a while for the food to be prepared. The fried chicken was decently good, but the cheese was a huge disappointment. Perhaps the regular beef bowl is better. Oh, and the cleaner uncle here is damn good. He works super fast even though he's old. We felt a bit bad when we were going to clear our tray, and he took it from us. I think he's the best part about this outlet. And lastly, you have to scan a QR code just to use the drinks dispenser, what the heck? 2019: Meh, it's Yoshinoya. The food is as expected for a Japanese fast-food place. The preparation time for food isn't that long, and you only queue for ordering. You'll be given a radio call device that rings when your order is ready. There's a weird funk in the air, not necessarily bad, just weird. Most people don't stay long here anyway. Tea is self-serve (after you pay, of course). You'll just get a cup, and the tea bags are at a separate counter. Service is normal, nothing special about it.

Can't go wrong with Yoshinoya, the flavor is consistently good at this outlet too. Service was quick, and our number was called within 5 minutes after ordering. Ordering is done via a kiosk at the entrance. Operationally, I think this is a good flow that moves the crowd and turns over tables quickly. The seats are unfortunately a little squeezed, but that's fully understandable given the lunch crowd.
