After the revamp of their menu, I definitely miss the hot veggie which is no longer available. The food is okay for the price you pay, but the quality and standard are still a far cry from those in Japan. How I miss the Yoshinoya in Japan.

Terrible hygiene – found a cockroach in our takeaway on 19 May! We ordered takeaway from this restaurant on 19 May, and to our shock, we found a cockroach in the food container (photo attached). This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the restaurant’s hygiene standards. We are planning to lodge a formal complaint with the health authorities, as this poses a major public health risk. Until there is a proper explanation and action taken, we will not be returning—and strongly advise others to avoid this place. Absolutely disappointed.

One of the service staff was extremely rude and unpleasant. I had two full trays of food at the collection counter, and when I arrived to pick them up, this staff member abruptly said, "Quickly, take both trays away NOW." I am one person with only one pair of hands. She then followed up with, "I have other orders coming, QUICKLY take them away." Her tone was not very pleasant either. I tried to find her name, but she was the only one not wearing a name tag.

Ordered takeaway beef gyudon with egg, but when I got back, there was no egg. The staff were too busy talking instead of checking if the food was packed properly. It wasn't even busy at the time. I emailed Yoshinoya, but no one has replied since.

Ordered via Grab and requested extra teriyaki sauce, but it was not provided at all. I had to add teriyaki sauce from my own home, and the mayonnaise was also added by me. They no longer include their mayonnaise on the salmon, and I miss the steamed vegetables. It's no longer the same, and I am very disappointed. I hope they bring back the old style.

- My meal cost S$9, which included a small beef and vegetable rice (S$6.5), 1 miso soup, and 1 cold drink (S$2.5). - The staff will give you an empty plastic cup, and you can choose your soft drink. It's non-refillable and comes with ice. - This shop provides free tissues.

Ate in during a weekday lunch, and the place wasn't full. Ordered the combo chicken karaage and salmon. The salmon slices were thin, and the karaage was okay. There was minimal staff visibility and interaction since ordering was done via a screen and food was returned on a tray. Didn't have to wait long for our order to be ready.

Tasty dons which always taste pretty consistent throughout the years, despite inflation. I'm glad the portion of rice is still well-portioned. The beef is as tasty as ever. Kudos to the staff!
