We hadn't been to Yoshinoya for over a year and were surprised to find that the entire menu had changed, including the removal of the soda fountain. You now have to order your food via kiosks, and bottled drinks are sold instead. Food-wise, I still prefer the previous offerings as the new ones don't taste the same anymore. The meat was rather dry, and I disliked that the rice was too plain for me. There was hardly any sauce with the beef. Additionally, I was appalled by the way the chicken was cooked—with batter? That's not how the Japanese cook karaage, right? Rectangular blocks of chicken? I'm sorry. I'm not sure I will visit again unless they refresh the menu/dishes once more. It's telling when you notice that Song Fa BKT next door is packed with a queue forming outside, while Yoshinoya has very few diners. I just wish Yoshinoya Singapore could be as good as Yoshinoya Japan.

Yoshinoya at HarbourFront is a reliable go-to for a quick, delicious Japanese meal. Known for its signature beef bowls and other comfort food options, this location serves up fresh and flavorful dishes that are perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner while you’re out shopping or on your way to Sentosa.
Their classic beef bowl is a must-try—thinly sliced, tender beef with onions simmered in a savory sauce over warm rice. It’s simple yet comforting and consistently good. The menu also includes options like teriyaki chicken, tempura, and even some healthy salads, offering something for everyone. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, making it great value for the quality.
The staff are friendly and efficient, ensuring quick service even during peak hours. The dining area is clean and comfortable, ideal for a casual meal. Plus, the location within HarbourFront is very convenient if you’re looking for a quick bite before heading to nearby attractions.
Overall, Yoshinoya at HarbourFront delivers exactly what you’d expect—tasty Japanese comfort food at an affordable price with fast and friendly service. Highly recommended for anyone craving Japanese cuisine on the go!

It's one of the famous gyudon restaurants in Singapore. I tried the gyudon curry & fried prawn rice. The juicy beef slices with curry were a very nice combo. It's a cozy restaurant with a relaxing ambience. It came with automated self-ordering.

The food is nice, but the service was a bit disappointing. The entire dining room was served by only one person. Many customers were turned away for waiting too long at the door. When in need, there was no one around to serve; the waiter was always busy. He was the only one handling the cashier, taking orders, cleaning tables, and escorting new customers to their tables. As for the kitchen staff, if I'm not mistaken, there was only one person working there as well...

Clean and comfortable seating. Good taste. I got the large size beef bowl for $8, and it was pretty satisfying. Friendly customer service. This is a self-service restaurant; collect your own food at the counter and return the trays/bowls at the "tray return area." A staff member here went above and beyond to serve an elderly customer, even though this is a self-service setting. Kudos to her!
