Old Chang Kee has been Singapore's legendary curry puff destination since 1956, when it began as a humble stall in a coffee shop near Rex Cinema on Mackenzie Road, earning the nickname "Rex Curry Puff." Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Han Keen Juan, who acquired the business in 1986, Old Chang Kee transformed from a small corner stall into Singapore's most recognized snack chain, officially receiving halal certification from MUIS on January 7, 2005.
Every Old Chang Kee curry puff contains their signature blend of zesty curried potatoes, succulent bite-sized chicken chunks, and slices of boiled egg, mixed with a perfect combination of herbs and spices that has remained consistent for decades. Beyond their legendary curry puffs (rebranded as Curry'O in 2008), the menu includes Singapore chicken curry, nasi lemak, Singapore laksa, and various local snacks that celebrate Singapore's diverse culinary heritage.
With over 100 retail outlets worldwide including 80+ locations across Singapore and international presence in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, Old Chang Kee sells more than 40,000 curry puffs daily. The company has earned prestigious recognition including the SPBA Distinctive Brand Awards 2005, Singapore Brand Award Heritage Award 2005, and selection by U.S. Travel & Leisure Magazine as one of the world's 20 best fast food chains in 2012 - the only Singapore brand to receive this honor.

Bad experience, especially at the JEM outlet. The staff had a bad attitude and poor customer service. When I ordered a set and requested a black container, they started throwing my food into it with very frustrated expressions. Their tone when serving customers was as if we owed them something. There were two staff members, both ladies.

Food - Bought 1 black sesame ball. The crust was hard, which felt like it was leftover and reheated from the previous day. And $1.90 is expensive for such poor quality.
Service/Atmosphere - The employees were arguing and causing confusion among themselves in front of customers. I think it's unfair for customers to witness their drama and have to wait for them to sort things out before serving us. They were also not attentive to orders. I wonder whether the management even bothers to coach their employees or try to improve their service delivery at all.

Truly I nvr likes Old Chang Kee n is always bought by friends for me.Staffs attitudes is 100% vvvvv
I've never really liked Old Chang Kee, and it's always been bought by friends for me. The staff's attitude is 100% very poor, serving customers with "groaning black faces." Please be reminded that we don't eat for free; it's bought with hard-earned money. The system always breaks down, so why does Grab offer "Flash Buy Friday Deals" that customers can't redeem at all? I've tried going to the Jem outlet several times and tried calling the Boon Lay outlet, but the number is totally unreachable. Please investigate why such lousy staff attitudes are directed towards supporting customers like my friends. I was very angry and annoyed when I personally witnessed staff quarrelling amongst themselves and then venting their anger on innocent, paying customers. As the boss of Old Chang Kee, please do something to improve your staff's internal teamwork and attitudes, as paying customers don't deserve bad, "groaning black face" attitudes. Moreover, Old Chang Kee should count its blessings when paying customers still support OCK despite many good curry puffs and other options in F&B establishments. OCK is not the only place people crave; their products are getting from bad to worst, with some foodstuffs being very salty and oily, which can easily lead to high blood pressure, fatty liver, etc. I will never patronize OCK again, even if it's given for free. Thanks.

Business must really be booming for them. Snappy aunties. Crappy snacks. Crazy prices. Yet the queue is never-ending. Keen to find out what's their appeal?
Super fast transactions. No idle chatter. Don't ask questions. Just pay and go. Yet no one is complaining.
Magic? No. Just a transaction. No customer relationship building. No brand building. Poor founder Uncle Han must be turning in his grave. Maybe Lim TY too.

Such kind staff that will patiently wait for you if you didn't know what to order. Such kind people
The staff were so kind and patiently waited for us when we were unsure of what to order. They were enthusiastic and politely waited for customers to make up their minds, even with a long queue. The food was amazing, tasting even better than my grandma's cooking! In a nutshell, the service was as good as their food, and Old Chang Kee will always hold a special place in my heart.
