Mr Bean stands as Singapore's leading soy-based food and beverage retail chain, established in 1989 with a mission to reconnect life's simple pleasures through fulfilling and inviting food experiences. Originally starting as a humble family bakery serving the local community with traditional confectioneries and bread, the brand has evolved into a comprehensive halal-certified chain with 64 outlets across Singapore. What makes Mr Bean truly special is its commitment to healthy, soy-based products that cater to both sweet and savory preferences, making it a popular destination for health-conscious consumers seeking halal dining options.

The menu at Mr Bean showcases an impressive variety of soy-centric offerings, from their signature Original Recipe pancakes filled with red bean, tuna, chicken mayo, kaya cheese, and innovative seasonal flavors like Gula Melaka and Curry Chicken with Potato. Their wholesome rice bowls feature meat-free alternatives like Japanese Curry and Truffle Mushroom options, while their beverage selection ranges from classic soy milk at $2.50 to exotic drinks like Icy Sea Salt Chendol at $5.20. The brand also offers nutritious rice balls, silky beancurd, grass jelly combinations, and healthy soy granola bars, ensuring there's something for every dietary preference and taste profile.

Mr Bean's recent achievement of complete MUIS halal certification across all outlets represents a significant milestone in Singapore's inclusive dining landscape, making quality soy-based nutrition accessible to the broader Muslim community. The brand's focus on affordability, with most items priced under $6, combined with their commitment to fresh daily preparation and healthy ingredients, positions them as a cornerstone of Singapore's fast-casual dining scene. Their continuous innovation in developing new flavors while maintaining traditional appeal demonstrates their understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their dedication to serving Singapore's diverse culinary landscape.

The lady, named Maggi, was rude. She wore a mask, and we couldn't hear her clearly. Suddenly, she raised her voice rudely, making it sound like I owed her $100,000.

I purchased two Nori Chicken Eggwiches from the Mr Bean outlet located in JEM basement 1. With only one Eggwich left, I saw staff from Mr Bean cooking and flipping a new batch of Eggwiches and pancakes. I did not rush the staff, as I was concerned that the Eggwich may not be fully cooked. To my astonishment, the staff handed me the Eggwiches almost immediately, including one from the new batch, assuring that it was ready. Unfortunately, my first bite into the Eggwich revealed cold chicken filling, and both the egg and cheese inside were runny. I returned hastily to the stall and brought this to the attention of the staff. Instead of apologizing and rectifying the mistake, the staff tried to argue that the filling is “supposed to be cold” and the runny liquid is the “cheese”, which is “normal”. She unwillingly handed me another Eggwich and looked away. With this incident, I urge Mr Bean’s Management to explore further training for staff in terms of food safety and quality, as well as customer service. Thank you.

I would like to make a feedback complaint on the staff name of “Maggie” who served me in a rude way.

I would like to provide feedback regarding a staff member named "Maggie" who served me rudely. I waited almost 20-25 minutes for my order, which was just a double cheese pancake. Her service was very poor. I hope this attitude and manner can be changed.

The food was okay, but the staff was super rude to customers. They spoke to us as if we owed them something. One Malay lady used an almost yelling tone at me when I asked about the porridge and pancake flavour choices. Please train your staff properly, as not all your customers are familiar with your menu.

Long queue at Mr Bean for tang yuan. Tang yuan are traditionally eaten during the Lantern Festival, but because the name is a homophone for reunion (traditional Chinese: 團 圓; simplified Chinese: 团圆; pinyin: tuányuán) and symbolizes togetherness and completeness, this dish is also served at weddings, family reunions, Chinese New Year, and Dongzhi (winter solstice).
