Old Chang Kee has been Singapore's legendary curry puff destination since 1956, when it began as a humble stall in a coffee shop near Rex Cinema on Mackenzie Road, earning the nickname "Rex Curry Puff." Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Han Keen Juan, who acquired the business in 1986, Old Chang Kee transformed from a small corner stall into Singapore's most recognized snack chain, officially receiving halal certification from MUIS on January 7, 2005.

Every Old Chang Kee curry puff contains their signature blend of zesty curried potatoes, succulent bite-sized chicken chunks, and slices of boiled egg, mixed with a perfect combination of herbs and spices that has remained consistent for decades. Beyond their legendary curry puffs (rebranded as Curry'O in 2008), the menu includes Singapore chicken curry, nasi lemak, Singapore laksa, and various local snacks that celebrate Singapore's diverse culinary heritage.

With over 100 retail outlets worldwide including 80+ locations across Singapore and international presence in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, Old Chang Kee sells more than 40,000 curry puffs daily. The company has earned prestigious recognition including the SPBA Distinctive Brand Awards 2005, Singapore Brand Award Heritage Award 2005, and selection by U.S. Travel & Leisure Magazine as one of the world's 20 best fast food chains in 2012 - the only Singapore brand to receive this honor.

Love the curry puffs, but the service is abysmal. I was shouted at by the staff because the payment terminal couldn't register my credit card. I can't fathom being shouted at for $1.90. 0/10, would not recommend. There's a friendlier outlet near Jubilee Mall with seats as well.

Read all the bad reviews on this outlet, experienced for myself today. Operating hours shown clearly

I read all the bad reviews about this outlet and decided to experience it for myself today. The operating hours clearly displayed at the outlet are 7 am to 9 pm. I went to the AMK Hub outlet to pre-order curry puffs for pick-up the next morning between 7:30-7:45 am. A rude auntie told me twice to read the operating hours and kept insisting that 7 am is the staff's reporting time and that curry puffs take two hours to cook and be displayed. She insisted the earliest collection time for 40 curry puffs would be 9 am. If that's the case, they should change their operating hours to 9 am to 9 pm. Since when do organizations display their staff's reporting time instead of their operating hours? The Nex outlet also starts at 7 am, and they were able to let me collect at 7:30 am, so something needs to be done about staff training for the AMK outlet. I was assigned to purchase the curry puffs for a meeting tomorrow; otherwise, I wouldn't want to subject myself to such a painful experience with the rude staff there.

Was fooled TWICE thinking the food was freshly prepared and items would be hot or at least warm. I suspect the staff just pre-fried everything in the morning by some one-hour contractor and took them out in the evening to ‘display’. Every item is dead cold. Boycotted! Just noticed their price increased by 40 cents again. Unethical business owner.

I wanted to redeem my birthday voucher, but for some reason, the app only allowed me to pay by PayLah!. When I tried to pay, PayLah! wouldn't work, so I had to step aside to let others pay first. The first time it failed, the cashier, who was an auntie, told me to move aside, so I did and waited until there was no one else before trying again. It still didn't work, and the auntie immediately became very mad and irritated, starting to scold me and the system. As much as I felt embarrassed that PayLah! wasn't working for some reason, I did purposely wait until there was no one at the counter so that I wouldn't affect other customers. This auntie told me to stop wasting her time and get something that was exactly $5, which was only a bottle of water and a chicken wing, but I didn't want those. She then kept telling me to just leave and not even buy the food I had ordered. Although I'm glad she still let me try again and it eventually worked, she was so rude and made me very irritated. In the end, the food was also cold and not even nice.

Several packages of chili sauce were provided. Initially, we were given two packages, and then we politely asked for more. However, your employee's aunt refused with an extremely dismissive attitude. From our perspective, we saw a pile of chili sauce behind him... I spent money in your store today. Is it wrong to ask for more chili sauce packets in a polite tone? Why do your employees have such a bad attitude! Or is your chili sauce so precious? The attitude was legitimately very bad!

Follow us on IG @sgfoodiefinds for more foodie content! In line with National Day 2024 🇸🇬, Old Chang Kee has launched a NEW Cheezy Kaya'O Puff! A delicious blend of creamy kaya and cheese is a delightful fusion of sweet and savoury encased in a flaky buttery puff pastry! We personally found that the flavours were balanced and didn’t overpower each other. Just look at that cross section! 🤤 The Cheezy Kaya'O goes for $2.20 each at all OCK outlets islandwide from 8th to 31st August.

First time to experience this kind of food. I tried the curry o and crab nuggets. The curry o is like an empanada with a tasty chicken curry filling. I liked the crab nuggets. As a Filipino, I prefer it when their products come with a sauce.

Really like this place. I don't see a change in taste or portion size after the renovation. Other than that, I think the popcorn chicken has more meat compared to when I tried it a few years ago.

Best curry puff I've tried across different Old Chang Kee stores. They were warm, tasty, and not too oily. The serving temperature was just right.
