The food was great, don't get me wrong, but one of the staff members (a Malay lady wearing glasses and makeup) was very rude and lacked manners. I simply said 'Hello' to her because she didn't even bother to look at me to take my order, and she replied in a very rude tone: 'You wait!' Whoever the owner is, shame on you for not managing your staff properly. Good food is of no use in this situation.

So sorry, but the food was really not nice. The Ayam Lemak or Gulai Ayam tasted like Asam Pedas. I'm sure most of us have been exposed to Indonesian food at some point, or to Nasi Padang. Sadly, the Nasi Padang here does not taste good or familiar at all. The sambal ijo and the red sambal, which were free-flow, also did not taste like Indonesian sambal. I am so sorry to be giving this low rating for the food; I hope the person in charge can do something about it. Other than that, the staff was nice and attentive.
Also, a regular cup of iced Milo is $3.50. You can decide if this is reasonable or not.

Waited over 15 minutes to order the nasi padang with absolutely zero queue, because the three staff in the stall would rather fiddle with things and chat with each other than attend to the one lone customer. I even had to call out to them twice to get service, when all three staff had already made earlier eye contact. I would've walked away had my family not already sat down with food.
Food, when finally obtained, was absolutely average, with much better nasi padang served elsewhere by people who actually seem to enjoy doing business.
You may call yourselves Taste of Indonesia, but I don't think anyone will be tasting any Indonesia when your staff would rather be twiddling their thumbs absentmindedly in the stall than conduct business.
Never before, never again. What a waste of time and money.

The food tastes like authentic Indonesian cuisine, as the owner and most of the employees are Indonesian. However, my husband got diarrhoea. Another important thing to improve is the fact that they use a lot of single-use plastic plates, cutlery, and cups. I can't imagine how much garbage they throw away in a day. This is really not aligned with Singapore's concept of embracing an environmentally friendly society.

I've been here many times and have recommended this place to a lot of my friends. However, today one of the cashiers was quite rude. I placed my order, and after she asked me something rather muffled that I didn't understand, I asked her to repeat. She repeated it by shouting, and I was taken aback. Afterward, her colleague told her in Bahasa to "be patient," and they continued to talk in Bahasa about the encounter with me. The funny thing is, I understand Bahasa, but they probably didn't realize I understood everything they said.

Nice food. The price is okay for a shopping mall. See my photo review for more on the food. I think it's located at basement 2, which is the last basement level. I hope the shopping mall's rent doesn't increase so this store can stay longer. All nice or creative food often disappears due to high rent, not a lack of passion from the owners. I hope Singapore can help more food owners by keeping rents affordable long-term. God Bless.

To be fair to the team, which comprises all Indonesian staff, let's give them some time to get used to our food court pace here. There are hits and misses, but I'll mention what's good:
1. The Gulai kambing (aka kambing soup) is filled with subtle notes of spices. The mutton meat is soft and breaks apart. The soup can be oily, but you can't have it all. Though we're more used to less salt, we slurped it up regardless.
2. The Ayam penyet looks better than what they displayed. The fried chicken is well-seasoned, has crispy skin, and goes well with the chilli. I think I'll be back for it when I crave ayam penyet. The chilli is spicy and sweet.
The business can do more with the presentation of the food. If it doesn't look good in a picture, it's probably not going to attract the crowd to step in and try. The nasi padang has to appear warm and inviting.
I'll be back to try the less common dishes like pempek and tempe goreng.

First time eating here. The taste was average. The mutton soup was ordered separately without rice. The mutton was in small chunks, not very tender but acceptable and not too dry. The grilled pomfret was freshly grilled upon order and tasted good. Although the fish wasn't very fresh, it was within an acceptable range. It was grilled with a sauce similar to eel sauce, which was sweet and flavorful. Lastly, we ordered lamb skewers. The lamb wasn't very fresh, and you could still taste the frozen flavor. However, the satay sauce was excellent, very delicious, and served hot. The satay sauce deserves praise.

I ordered lontong. Flavourful with price 5 dollars only.
Had it again on 21 Aug. Taste nice still.

I had it again on 21 Aug. It still tasted nice. I also tried the rojak, which cost $5 as well. It was really a lot, haha, my tummy was very full after finishing it alone. I'm not sure where the spiciness came from, the sauce or the added small onion? It was burning inside my mouth, but it tasted nice anyway. What's special about this rojak is that they have sliced apple and lime inside, which I haven't tried at other stalls before.

There was a long and disorganized queue when I visited. The menu prices were not displayed. I ordered the dory penyet, which cost $7.50 in total.
The fish was a decent portion and crispy, but very oily. There were two small pieces of tofu and no tempeh. The sambal was more like nasi lemak chilli, not like actual ayam penyet sambal. The side dish of fish/prawn crackers was not really necessary; the colorful ones were not even nice to eat, tasting tasteless and hard.
My friend had the bakso. The service was bad; we stood there for a really long time, and a staff member did not come to take his order. He paid $7.80 in total, plus extra noodles. It was seriously pathetic; with the added noodles, it just filled one normal bowl with little fillings, and the soup tasted like pepper water.
Honestly, this place is not well thought out. I won't recommend it.
