Tip Top Singapore operates as a distinctive halal-certified casual eatery specializing in traditional Southeast Asian snack foods and curry-based items, strategically positioned at Changi Airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 to serve the unique needs of international travelers seeking authentic local flavors at reasonable prices. Unlike typical airport food establishments that often compromise quality and inflate prices, Tip Top has built its reputation on maintaining consistent quality and fair pricing that reflects Singapore's genuine food culture rather than exploitative airport premiums. Their halal certification ensures that their curry puffs, local noodle dishes, and traditional snacks remain accessible to Singapore's diverse traveling population, while their commitment to authentic preparation methods preserves the genuine taste experiences that international visitors expect when sampling Singapore's renowned street food culture in a convenient airport setting.
The focused menu at Tip Top centers around their signature curry puffs, including beloved curry chicken puffs and rich beef rendang puffs that showcase their mastery of traditional pastry-making techniques and authentic spice blending that reflects Singapore's multicultural culinary heritage. Their offerings extend to popular local dishes like bee hoon noodles available with customizable spice levels, aromatic laksa that represents Singapore's signature fusion cuisine, and convenient items like fish ball skewers, scallop skewers, and satay ikan wraps that provide quick, satisfying meals for travelers with limited time. The restaurant's ability to deliver complete local dining experiences through combination meals—such as their popular $10.20 selection featuring curry chicken puff, beef rendang puffs, fish ball skewer, crumbed scallop skewer, and traditional teh—demonstrates their understanding that airport dining should provide cultural immersion rather than generic fast food, creating memorable introductions to Singapore's food culture for departing and arriving passengers.
Tip Top's success lies in their unique positioning as cultural ambassadors who introduce international travelers to authentic Singapore flavors while serving the practical needs of time-conscious passengers seeking quality meals at fair prices. Their consistent quality standards, reasonable pricing strategy that resists typical airport markup practices, and authentic preparation of traditional recipes have earned them recognition as an exceptional example of airport food done right, where travelers can experience genuine local cuisine rather than commercialized airport versions. The restaurant's role in representing Singapore's food culture to international audiences, combined with their commitment to halal certification and traditional cooking methods, positions them as both convenient dining option and cultural gateway that ensures visitors' final taste of Singapore reflects the authentic flavors and generous value propositions that define the nation's beloved food heritage.

We ordered Deliveroo for 2 sharing platters and 5 snacks. After waiting for 40 minutes, they only gave the 5 snacks to the rider, who didn't realize it. The rider went back to check, and it turns out they hadn't prepared the platters at all! Very bad service.

Super disappointing service! Bought takeaway chicken katsu nasi lemak, and when I opened it at home, there was no chicken! Highly recommend not to go to the Bugis outlet! They need to review their staff training. Such terrible service.

This chain store doesn’t seem to have consistency. This Bugis outlet always hires staff who don’t bother about customers. They are not attentive and we always have to call them to the counter. Also, the curry puffs are always unavailable after 6pm, which is hours away from closing. If available, they are usually cold. Today's curry puff was warm though, and it was the first time I managed to buy one after going there three times. The Compass Point outlet staff are attentive and the food is always warm.

The staff was not friendly. My order included adding bee hoon, but the portion was similar to the normal size. I feel I was being cheated. It was not a very good experience to enjoy the food, and I have been supporting your brand since I was young. Quite disappointed to start my day with such an experience.

This eatery is notorious for its bad service. The food is mediocre, but the service is extremely atrocious. The service staff should consider leaving their jobs and finding something else if they don't enjoy what they do. The way they treat patrons is painful to watch. So, patrons, you have been warned to stay away from this place unless you enjoy being humiliated or treated with disrespect!

The smaller local curry puff chain. Nice, spicy yet crispy curry puff!
The Impossible Rendang is decent; you won't be able to tell it's not real minced beef.

One of the best curry puffs in Singapore! Started in 1979 in the heartlands of Blk 722 Ang Mo Kio, serving handmade curry puffs to its residents, Tip Top Curry Puff has now grown into a chain with a few outlets – six when I last counted. The chicken and potato original curry puffs and the beef rendang curry puffs are my favourites, although they have followed Old Chang Kee in offering an array of Singaporean snacks like chicken wings and ngoh hiangs.
