I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience my family and I had at your JEM outlet today. Unfortunately, it was far below the standard we have come to expect from your brand, especially compared to the excellent service and food we’ve consistently received at other outlets like Vivo. Firstly, the service was extremely poor. One staff member in particular—who appeared to be a supervisor and was dressed in black—was especially unprofessional. When I politely inquired why our child’s food was delayed despite the restaurant not being busy, she responded dismissively and rudely, saying: “Oh, we have different kitchens here; one is preparing the chicken and the other is preparing the rice.” To make matters worse, the steamed chicken we ordered for our infant was served cold, which is unacceptable for a child’s meal. Additionally, the three portions of roasted chicken rice we took home were all of very poor quality and far from what we’ve come to expect from your brand. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously. I urge you to look into the service standards and food quality at your JEM outlet to ensure other customers don’t go through the same unpleasant experience.

Nice food here. The new environment looks bright after renovation. Thank you, Miss Selvi, for the friendly service.

This restaurant was a last-minute walk-in, and we quickly Googled for reviews to see if it was legitimate. We went in, sat down with my wife, and scanned the QR code to see what they were serving. The roast chicken displayed behind the glass wasn't particularly appealing, frankly speaking. It wasn't big, nor was it shiny. Compared to the steamed chicken, it looked small, and the steamed chicken was noticeably bigger. However, we ordered a sharing plate consisting of steamed and roast chicken, added three bowls of rice, one chaipoh egg, shiitake mushroom kailan, and a coconut pudding. We washed it all down with a hot lemongrass drink. Finally, the food arrived. After my initial low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised to taste such nicely balanced chicken. The accompanying sauce wasn't overly salty and complemented their homemade chili sauce, which came in two varieties: a more familiar one and a darker, foreign-looking one with chopped green chilies. Both chili sauces complemented the chicken rice well. I just wish it were a lot spicier, but that's just my craving for ultra-spicy food. The kailan with mushrooms was stir-fried to perfection with a hint of wok hei. My wife liked it; I'm not much of a vegetable person. The chaipoh egg was just okay for me, as they used sweet chaipoh, which took me by surprise initially. I was expecting the salty version, but I guess things are different over in Thailand. Both lemongrass drinks were fragrant and not too overpowering. Lastly, my wife rated her coconut pudding 7/10, feeling it was too sweet. I, however, found it just right, as she doesn't have a sweet tooth for such things. She commented that it could have been more coconutty.

Kim is very attentive to her customers. The ambience is great. The steamed chicken is smooth and tender. The roast chicken was great too. We ordered a whole chicken of each. The price is affordable. The Thai songs played set the mood.

Now the staff is more friendly and approachable, especially the new girl named Kim. She ensures customers are well-served and happy. The outlet is newly renovated and very cleanly maintained. Lastly, the food is always good, especially for Muslim people. Their food is good.

I walked past their shop in Bangkok almost daily during my trip but couldn't squeeze in a meal. Finally, I decided to try it at JEM when we couldn't decide what else to eat. We got the chicken, bean sprouts, Thai-style tofu, and a soup. It was surprisingly above average. I also had to get a second bowl of rice. A decent place for some chicken rice.
