There was brown rice stuck to the sushi, as shown in my photo. I had ordered white rice, so it was a bit unpleasant to see. The service staff were not friendly. Thankfully, the sushi tasted fine. I didn't find the mega san very filling, but maybe that's just me.

Love the variety! I usually get the same Mega San Salad from this Makisan outlet at Hillion, but it's unfortunate that the portion size is getting noticeably smaller.

The entrance is located outside and separate from Hillion Mall, facing the bus stop at Bukit Panjang MRT Exit A. The eatery is quite spacious for its type (SUBWAY-like). Order forms are available upon entry. It has a peculiar, fishy smell every time we go through. The concept is excellent, allowing you to customize your sushi or salad bowl. The variety of ingredients is also quite large. However, most of them do not taste as they are supposed to. Fresh produce items are also prepared roughly. One time, we ordered asparagus, but the stems were so hard that they were difficult to chew! The rice is also quite mushy and nothing like Japanese rice. Meats, in general, are disappointing as they are prepared and processed in advance and served cold. Most staff can't really wrap the rolls well, so the sushi can fall apart easily once lifted from the box. Although there's a machine that helps them cut the sushi evenly at the end, and the takeaway boxes are very cute, the basic taste of the food is simply a pity.

Hi Makisan, if you are going to charge customers $10+ for your Mega San salad, please ensure your customers are getting what they are paying for. The amount of ingredients recently is getting worse. Even an economic rice store can do better than you without increasing prices!

There's a wide variety of maki rolls and house salads to choose from. If you can't find what you want, you can even customise the maki based on your preference. The price can be rather steep, but it is filling.

Makisan Admiralty customer service recovery 10/10!! I bought a Little San during their busy period and they forgot my order. I waited close to 30 minutes, but they were extremely apologetic about it. They prepared my order as quickly as they could and even gave me a free drink! I would like to thank the workers there – a guy and two ladies – for doing such excellent customer service recovery! Allowing me to walk off as a satisfied customer
