We waited for 30 minutes for one of our orders, the Seafood Paella, because the staff initially gave us the wrong order (Chicken Paella). Later, the staff claimed their ordering system malfunctioned and our correct order did not go through, even though we had already successfully placed our order and the staff had printed out our order chit indicating the correct items. We had to follow up on the order about three times. Throughout our dining experience, I found that most of the staff were not very attentive. Perhaps I can give the benefit of the doubt that it was almost peak hour and the weekend (although we dined around 2pm-2:30pm). The seafood paella did not taste like paella at all; it tasted more like seafood rice. The serving was not that generous (as seen in the picture). For the truffle cream pasta, it was decent, but nothing special. There were only hints of truffle. I think it didn't help the taste that I waited for all our orders to arrive together. The food was underwhelming. Given that the price points are slightly higher than some of Milan Shokudo's competitors, I was hopeful the food would taste good, if not decent. However, I find it not to be value-for-money.

Please do not be fooled by the photos on the menu. What you get is far from what you expected. I ordered takoyaki and was fully disappointed with the order. The octopus was chopped into smaller pieces and the filling was uncooked. I can foresee that this F&B establishment is going to bite the dust unless they change their cook!

I kept an open mind when I visited this restaurant for the first time and realised that not all the food there is bad. The soups (tomato and corn) are absolutely diluted, something to avoid ordering. Otherwise, the pasta and rice items are okay. The pizza is so-so. There isn't much service, much like Saizeriya.

Went because there were free flow drinks. Thought it would be something like Saizeriya, with no-frills Jap-Italian food. I ordered the mix and match seafood paella, which came with fries. I can only say the fries were hot and good, and the free flow drinks were good. As for the seafood paella, don't bother ordering it; it was a bad choice. It had only 2 clams, 2 scallops, and 1 prawn. I was contemplating whether to rate, so I took a pic after removing the clam shells. But I guess I had to rate. Won't go back unless I just want the free flow drinks.

Giving this diner one star feels like an injustice to this very disappointing dinner! The food took 35 minutes to come out. The tomato soup was like tomato-flavored water rinsed from the pot. The paella was dried out, and the prawn served was mushy and broken. When feedback was given on the prawn's quality, we were told it was the prawn supplier's fault. Photos are attached for your viewing. The pricing is on the high side with zero value. I hope no doctor's visit is required.

Milan Shokudo is a nice spot if you're craving Japanese-Italian fusion. The menu has good variety—pasta, pizza, doria, and even teppan dishes. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality, and it's halal too, which is a plus. The staff are very kind. They assisted me when I overflowed my coffee. ❤️ Overall, it's a casual, family-friendly place—good for groups or a fuss-free meal when you want both Japanese and Italian flavors in one go.

I went there in April on a Saturday for lunch. The service was faster than I had expected from the reviews here. The food was not all that bad, unlike some of the reviews I read. The smoked duck pizza was good, and the crust was soft, just to my liking. The focaccia is comparable to that of other similar restaurants. Overall, it deserves a revisit, and you should give it another try. Thanks.

I’m a regular here. I’m giving my honest opinion after seeing many negative reviews claiming their food is worse than Saizeriya. In my opinion, the food here is definitely better than Saizeriya. The staff are friendly, and the food quality is quite decent, especially considering they use fresher ingredients. The pasta is made from scratch — springy and chewy — unlike many other places that rely on store-bought pasta, which tends to be hard and dry. So I can understand why they charge more for their pastas. I tried their pizzas (thicker dough base) and they are 100 times better than Saizeriya’s (thin gooey wrap). However, the fried chicken cutlet was a little too dry, likely due to the use of chicken breast. Using chicken thigh instead would result in a juicier and more flavorful dish. The fries were good — they weren’t greasy or sour-tasting, which shows care was taken in preparation. Overall, it’s clear there’s effort behind the ingredients and presentation. The only area that really needs improvement is the cooking method. Keep it up and don’t let those negative reviews affect you! 5 stars for the effort!
