Mr Bean stands as Singapore's leading soy-based food and beverage retail chain, established in 1989 with a mission to reconnect life's simple pleasures through fulfilling and inviting food experiences. Originally starting as a humble family bakery serving the local community with traditional confectioneries and bread, the brand has evolved into a comprehensive halal-certified chain with 64 outlets across Singapore. What makes Mr Bean truly special is its commitment to healthy, soy-based products that cater to both sweet and savory preferences, making it a popular destination for health-conscious consumers seeking halal dining options.
The menu at Mr Bean showcases an impressive variety of soy-centric offerings, from their signature Original Recipe pancakes filled with red bean, tuna, chicken mayo, kaya cheese, and innovative seasonal flavors like Gula Melaka and Curry Chicken with Potato. Their wholesome rice bowls feature meat-free alternatives like Japanese Curry and Truffle Mushroom options, while their beverage selection ranges from classic soy milk at $2.50 to exotic drinks like Icy Sea Salt Chendol at $5.20. The brand also offers nutritious rice balls, silky beancurd, grass jelly combinations, and healthy soy granola bars, ensuring there's something for every dietary preference and taste profile.
Mr Bean's recent achievement of complete MUIS halal certification across all outlets represents a significant milestone in Singapore's inclusive dining landscape, making quality soy-based nutrition accessible to the broader Muslim community. The brand's focus on affordability, with most items priced under $6, combined with their commitment to fresh daily preparation and healthy ingredients, positions them as a cornerstone of Singapore's fast-casual dining scene. Their continuous innovation in developing new flavors while maintaining traditional appeal demonstrates their understanding of evolving consumer preferences and their dedication to serving Singapore's diverse culinary landscape.

Ordered pearly taro on two separate days. Both times they gave me the wrong order but charged me $3.70. One time they gave me pearly soymilk. This time, they gave me taro soymilk without pearls. Furthermore, they never gave me a receipt, so there's no evidence. Mr Bean management should review this outlet.

I was in a queue. The lady behind me took lots of soy pouches and came to the counter to put the items. The cashier served her before me. Like, dude, do you not see I am standing in front of you? The lady wanted to redeem several coupons and use her HPB voucher to pay. Everything was so slow. I ended up waiting 10 minutes for them. Packing was slow, paying was slow. Everything is slow. All I want is just a pancake. Why do I have to allow a person who bought more things than me get served first?

Super disorganized, with no numbering system. The auntie at the counter seemed overwhelmed. Many people were queuing not because of a high volume of orders, but due to inefficiency. People who ordered later received their food first. I waited over 45 minutes for my order, and the food didn't even taste good, with an undercooked flavour. Please don't visit.

Bad and slow service. The workers seemed too inexperienced, and there was no proper workflow. It took too long to be served, causing me to miss my bus. They also charged me the original price despite the tofu already being finished and my order being without it.

The staff member, Zhao Jingyi, snatched the receipt from my hands when I took it myself, as the counter lady had not served me. She was really rude. Zhao Jingyi also assumed my beancurd was 50% sugar level without asking. She only inquired about the sugar level for the soya milk and assumed mine was also 50%. I had to correct her before she took the wrong order. It was a bad experience with very impatient staff. Please DO NOT VISIT this store.

I have patronised Mr Bean SG outlets at different locations over the years as a soya milk lover. Despite the unpleasant experiences some customers have had, as reflected in their reviews, particularly regarding customer service, I am thankful for the patience and understanding of a staff member at the Causeway Point outlet named Xiuping. Earlier today, I did not have any cash with me. The convenience of being able to pay with NETS and/or Paywave at many retail stores across the island has saved me the trouble of queuing at ATMs for cash withdrawal. Despite the reassurance of a seemingly cashless society, the NETS machine at Mr Bean Causeway Point had unfortunately malfunctioned this morning. Cash-strapped as I was, I was in a dilemma whether to cancel my order or walk to the nearest ATMs, which would take at least 20 to 30 minutes back and forth depending on the queue. Faced with my predicament, there was no sour face or bad attitude shown. Xiuping gently and politely said it was okay to pay later. It is a small gesture which I truly appreciate. A little patience and understanding indeed goes a long way. Thank you!

I was waiting for a friend at the bus interchange and decided to try my luck to see if they still had rice balls (around 10pm, which is almost closing time). To my pleasant surprise, the staff said they would cook it for me, but I had to wait 5 minutes, which I didn't mind at all.
I've been to so many places where the staff would have just said the item was no longer available for the day, so I was really thankful for this.
The rice balls were a little too soft and mushy, though. They would have been perfect if they were a bit firmer, but I can't complain much at this hour. I'm just glad I managed to get a hot dessert.

What wonderful service! A shout-out to Ms Geok Leng who served me today. When she saw me struggling to manage my hot cup of bean curd drink, she kindly offered to change it to a carrier and even cooled down the drink for me. From my observations, I could see she was a nice and friendly person with a kind heart, and she had good interactions with customers and regulars. Kudos to her for her service!
